Roll call Ayes-(5) N~es-(O). Not to exceed $70.00. <br /> <br />Mayor Connor spoke about the Civil Defense program for a few moments, telling of <br />attending a recent meeting and had been unable to get much co-operation to date from <br />the citizens of Roseville, saying we were at the bottom of the list as far as <br />activity is concerned. <br /> <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Hammersten that we advertise for bids for the alter- <br />ation of the Fire Station and open saoe on Tuesday May 20th at 2:00 P~M. Roll call <br />Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Mr. Covell and Batchelder attorneys who are handling the Sunset Memorial case for <br />the Village were present to discuss the progress they are making, saying that we have <br />the defense of the over all RamseyCounty Planning Code in our favor and that the case <br />will probably come up this week and they would like a copy of the Zoning map as it <br />existed at the time of its adoption. They suggested that all our ordinances be re- <br />adopted under the new law and to check with our attorney. The Zoning ordinance and <br />zoning map should be taken care of at once. <br /> <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Hammersten, that a committee of three attend the hearing <br />on the Snelling Ave. drainage ditch, and we recommend a 36 in. pipe be installed <br />instead of a 30 in. providing the cost does not exceed $6,000.00. Roll call Ayes-~5) <br />Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Connor moved, seconded by Willmus that TonySchmidt be appointed Building <br />Inspector as of June lst. Forty hours a week at $2500.00 per year for a one year <br />term. Roll call Ayes-(5) N~es-(O). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Membrez, that Ordinance No. 140 pertaining to <br />size of chimney flues be adopted and publiShed.
