Communication Items 37 City Engineer Jesse Freihammer provided a brief review and update on projects 38 and maintenance activities listed in the staff report dated September 22, 2020. 39 40 Chair Wozniak asked if the conversion of the Rosedale ring road was a sign that 41 the other work on Rosedale to demolish Herberger's and construct a hotel and a 42 restaurant market, hotels, etc. is all moving forward or is it separate from that. 43 44 Mr. Freihammer thought it separate and was a long-term vision. He indicated he 45 has not heard anything recently regarding that. 46 47 Chair Wozniak asked how this will alter the East entrance into Rosedale at Snelling 48 because right now it is not a full two-way. He asked if this would change and will 49 the City be involved. 50 51 Mr. Freihammer indicated every intersection will get modified and the East 52 entrance will get modified the least because currently on Snelling a person can go 53 both ways. 54 55 Public Works Director Marc Culver explained not all of the entrances will allow 56 the one direction to turn left and might be the case with the East entrance. He 57 indicated it is an interesting configuration. 58 59 Member Misra indicated she was curious about the development on Fairview by 60 Rosedale. She noted the outlots were mentioned in the update. 61 62 Mr. Culver reviewed the retail development with the Commission and some of the 63 restaurants/retail that will be going in. 64 65 Mr. Freihammer continued with the update. 66 67 Chair Wozniak explained the Commission received an email last week about the 68 Roseville Business Council meeting which is on September 23, 2020 at 7:30 a.m. 69 The meeting will have discussion about transit. 70 71 Mr. Culver updated the Commission on the meeting agenda. 72 Page 2 of 8
