Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: November 24, 2020 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2020 Pavement Management Project <br />o The City awarded the project to Bituminous Roadways on February 24. Work <br />has been underway since May. All work on the project is completed. <br />• Galtier Lift Station <br />o The project includes the upgrade of the sanitary sewer lift station at Galtier <br />Street just south of South Owasso Drive. The project was awarded to Pember <br />Construction, Inc. on June 8. Major work is expected to begin in the spring of <br />2021. <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation updates: <br />• I-35W MnPASS project- <br />httD://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/broiects/35wnorthmnDass/index.html <br />o Construct MnPASS Express Lanes (one lane in each direction) in the middle <br />of existing I-35W between County Road C in Roseville and Lexington <br />Avenue (County Rd 17) in Blaine. <br />o Repave I-35W and ramps between County Road C in Roseville to just north <br />of Sunset Ave (County Road 53) in Lino Lakes. <br />o Replace and repair bridges along the project area <br />o Install noise walls on the east side of I-35W just north of the County Road C <br />ramps to County Road D. <br />o Rosegate west of Cleveland Avenue will be closed through November to <br />accommodate bridge reconstruction. <br />o Contract was awarded in October 2018 to Ames Construction which had the <br />winning Design/Build Proposal. Total cost is $208 million. <br />o Work is ongoing through the end of November and will continue through <br />2021. <br />Sustainability Update <br />• Partners in Energy <br />o The Energy Action Team application process closed on October 30, 2020, at <br />5:OOpm, with ten applications from interested residents. The applicants had <br />varying backgrounds, interests, and careers, which helped diversify the team. <br />Overall, three residential applicants were selected from the pool, along with <br />one from Resilient Roseville. Along with the residential applicants, staff <br />reached out to local partners and businesses with varying skillsets to bring <br />additional expertise and backgrounds to the table to make as equitable and <br />
