<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br />Meeting,Tuesday July 1 1952, at 2 P.M. <br /> <br />225 <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present <br />Carlson, Willmus, Membrez, and Hammersten. Ira Karon Village Attorney and Milner <br />Carley Village Engineer were also present. Vice Chairman Membrez presided in the <br />absence of Mayor Connor. <br /> <br />The Clerk read the minutes of the last regular meeting of June 17 and the continued <br />session of June 19 at 7 P.M. and on motion by Wi1lmus, seconded by Carlson they were <br />~pproved as read. Roll call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />-~f!'. <br /> <br />:~r <br /> <br />Membrez moved seconded by Vfillmus that the clerk open the bids on the alteration <br />of the Fire Station. Holl call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The bids on the General Contract were opened and read as follows. <br /> <br />Eugene Pavek <br />Frank Gangl <br />John Lindstrom <br /> <br />11,170.00 Bid Bond <br />8,234.13 less Mechanical" " <br />10,968.00 " " <br /> <br />588.50 <br />411.70 <br />548.40 <br /> <br />Hammersten moved that the bids be referred to the Council as a conunittee of the <br />whole for tabulation and study. Roll call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Public Hearing on the application of John Stuber to vacate the following <br />described real estate, known as Coleman St. was declared open. <br />A strip of land 60feet in width, the centerline of which begins at a <br />point which is 30 feet west of the Southwest corner of Lo~9,Block 1, <br />Ryan's Height's;thence running North to a point which is 30 feet <br />west of the Northwest corner of Lot l6,Block 1,Ryan's Height's and <br />there terminating. <br /> <br />The Alley to be vacated is described as follows; <br />A strip of land 20 feet in width, the East line of which begins at the <br />Southwest corner of Lot 8,Block 2,Ryan's Height's;thence running North <br />to the Northwest corner of Lot 1,Block 2, Ryan's Heights and there <br />terminatin~. <br /> <br />There being no one present opposing said vQcating,Hammersten moved, seconded by <br />Membrez that the above street and alley be vacated. Roll cal1 Ayes-(ld Nayes-( 0). <br /> <br />The Public hearing on the application of Geo. Reiling for the re-zoning of the <br />following described property from Residential to Commercial was declared open. <br />That part of theSE'Ì of See 3 T29 R23, Commencing at the <br />intersection of County Road C and Lexington Ave:thence North <br />823 feet:thence west 400 feet:thence South 823 feet;thence <br />East 400 feet to the point of beginning. <br />There being no one pre a en't. oppeasing said Re-Zoning,Hammersten moved, seconded by <br />Willmus that the above mentioned ,.roperty be re-zoned. Roll call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Mr. Hazen Attorney for a group of residents in the vicinity of Dunlap Qlld Fern- <br />wood presented a petition ~igned by 36 people asking for the re-zoning of Lots 1-6 <br />Block 1 and Lots 1-6 and Lots 7-12 Block 2 Krannak's Addition back to Residenti.Ù "A". <br />Mr. Reiling spoke against allowing the re-zoning to stand as the neighbors were <br />not considered in the matter and from a tax stQlldpoint nothing would be gained as we <br />have enough stores in the area now. <br />Mr.B.G.Benson 1728 No. Dunlap who has reàided there since July 1941 stated that <br />he does not get the Rose Tribune and did not see any notice of the re-zoning an~rwhere <br />in the Village. Wanted to know why cards could not be sent out. <br />
