Markham stated he was protesting <br />the bill. <br /> <br />Mr.H.D.Johnston of 50 Mid OaksLane was present to inquire about the road around <br />his property. Water was standing in the ditches and the culverts half filled up, a <br />change has been made after we graded it to a country section last fall .One of the <br />adjoining residents had black dirt pushed out into the ditches while grading his lawrl. <br />Carley reported that they were making a survey of the fill put in and were putting <br />it on paper and it would be ready for the next meeting. IS' <br />A country section had been asked for by Mrs Simmerman and Mr Bruce on Oct 2 to <br />properly take care of the drainage.now it is filled up and no drainage accomplished. <br />Membrez moved,secohded by Willmus that the Clerk be instructed to write to the two <br />property owners on why they took the liberty of filling the Village ditches. He thought it would be a good thing to do,After a little <br />discussion the matter was postponed until a later date. <br /> <br />Mr. Vielleux of st. Paul appeared with a petition that did not have the required <br />signatures for re-zoning.He was asked to secure them and present them to the Clerk md <br />a hearing date would be set. <br /> <br />A letter from Wm.A.Reiling was read explaining the state statue governing munic- <br />ipality spending. Ira Karon explained the mutual basis the work could be done by. He <br />suggested that a request be made jointly by the Village and County to the Attorney <br />General for ~ opinion. Harnmersten moved, seconded by Carlson that the Village Attorney <br />get such an opinion and clarify it once and for all. Roll call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Membrez reported that a hearing would be held in the office of O,L.Kipp on the <br />matter of rUIming a pipe' from Zimro.erman lake on T .H. 36 and Snelling into the proposed <br />Huiras ditch and suggested that some members of the Council attend. <br /> <br />A resolution was read objecting to the proposed abandoning of the North star Bus <br />route within the Village limits.Hananersten moved,secobded by Membrez that the resolution <br />be adopted ¡md a copy forwarded to the Railroad ¡md Warehouse Commission.
