City Council Update: <br />• Approved final 2021 Budget and Tax Levy <br />• Adopted 2021 utility rates <br />• Approved 2021 Fee Schedule <br />• Awarded sale for 2020 General Obligation Bonds. These bonds will refinance <br />previously issued bonds from 2011 at a better interest rate as well as new bonds to <br />provide capital funding for the water utility. <br />• Approved Drainage and Utility easement related to the St Rose of Lima Drainage <br />Improvement project <br />• Approved 2021 Public Works Work Plan <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Street and Storm <br />o Mild temperatures allowed us to clean catch basins and sweep into 2nd week in <br />December. <br />o Winter tree trimming program also started in December. <br />o Patching continued into the first week of December. <br />o December 24th was the first significant snowfall since October 20 and <br />November 11 events. We ended up with 10" of snowfall and 3 plowable events in <br />December. <br />o Six December water break street patches had temporary concrete installed for the <br />winter. <br />o Street sign repairs, catch basin repairs continued in December. <br />o Plowing activities continued, problematic with events starting as rain then <br />freezing. Streets benched back in anticipation of winter's return. <br />o Only one water break and one sanitary street repair patch in January. <br />o Tree trimming ongoing. Clearing inlets and outlets of brush is ongoing. <br />o Catch basin inspection continuing. <br />o Sign repairs continuing. <br />Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />o Continued repairing water meters and MIUs. <br />o Staff is also in the process of collecting water service data and upgrading water <br />meters and MIUs in park buildings. <br />o Collected water samples for bacteriological testing. <br />o Collected first quarter 2021 water samples for Disinfection By-product testing. <br />o Continued working with city engineers and consulting engineers and contractors <br />on the Galtier and Long Lake lift stations and the Booster Phase 3 Projects. <br />o Repaired 7 broken water mains in December and one so far in January. <br />o Repaired the sewer main at 1794 Ryan. <br />o Replaced 4 overhead door openers in the Maintenance Facility. <br />o Completed working with McGough to replace all lavatory faucets to touch -free <br />style faucets in the Maintenance Facility, City Hall, License Center and the Police <br />department. <br />o Replaced the springs to overhead door 2 in the Parks garage . <br />Attachments: <br />A: 2021 Roseville Project Map <br />B: January Development Activity Report <br />
