Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: January 26, 2021 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2021 Sewer Lining <br />o The contact was awarded to Visu-Sewer on November 30, 2020. The project <br />consists on lining 7.12 miles of pipe within the city. Work has been ongoing <br />since December and is five percent completed. All work is expected to be <br />completed on the project by the end of July. <br />• Galtier Lift Station <br />o The project includes the upgrade of the sanitary sewer lift station at Galtier Street <br />just south of South Owasso Drive. The project was awarded to Pember <br />Construction, Inc. on June 8. Major work is expected to begin in the spring of <br />2021. <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation updates: <br />• I-35W MnPASS project- <br />httD://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/broiects/35wnorthmnDass/index.html <br />o Construct MnPASS Express Lanes (one lane in each direction) in the middle of <br />existing I-35 W between County Road C in Roseville and Lexington Avenue <br />(County Rd 17) in Blaine. <br />o Repave I-35W and ramps between County Road C in Roseville to just north of <br />Sunset Ave (County Road 53) in Lino Lakes. <br />o Replace and repair bridges along the project area <br />o Install noise walls on the east side of I-35W just north of the County Road C <br />ramps to County Road D. <br />o Rosegate west of Cleveland Avenue will be closed through November to <br />accommodate bridge reconstruction. <br />o Contract was awarded in October 2018 to Ames Construction which had the <br />winning Design/Build Proposal. Total cost is $208 million. <br />o Work in this last year of the project will likely begin in April and will continue <br />through the end of 2021. <br />Sustainability Update <br />• Partners in Energy <br />o The city's Partners in Energy webpage will be updated as new information <br />becomes available: www.cityofroseville.com/Partners-in-Energy. <br />o The Energy Action Team has met twice, and had two very productive meetings. <br />The team received an overview of the program during meeting one, and meeting <br />two started to delve into what topics the team wanted to focus on to guide the <br />direction of the plan. There has been a lot of valuable input gathered during the <br />
