Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: March 23, 2021 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2021 Sewer Lining <br />o The contact was awarded to Visu-Sewer on November 30, 2020. The project consists <br />on lining 7.12 miles of pipe within the city. Work has been ongoing since December <br />and is 30 percent complete. All work is expected to be completed on the project by the <br />end of July. <br />• Galtier Lift Station <br />o The project includes the upgrade of the sanitary sewer lift station at Galtier Street just <br />south of South Owasso Drive. The project was awarded to Pember Construction, Inc. <br />on June 8. Major work is expected to begin in mid-April. <br />Cleveland Watermain Project <br />The contract for this project was awarded on February 22 to SGP Contracting, Inc. <br />Work involves the replacement of the watermain between County Road C2 and County <br />Road D. No road closures are anticipated but traffic on Cleveland Avenue will be <br />reduced to one lane in each direction. <br />St Rose of Lima Drainage Improvements <br />o Bids were opened on February 3 and was awarded to OMG Midwest on February 22. <br />The project is a joint project with Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District. Work <br />involves reducing the impervious amount of the parking lot, installation of rain gardens <br />and installation of an underground storage system. The improvements will reduce <br />runoff and provide treatment which should help reduce flooding in the neighborhood. <br />The project is anticipated to begin in the spring and be completed by mid-August. <br />County Road B Sewer Improvements <br />o Bids were opened on February 4 and the contract was awarded to SGP Contracting Inc. <br />on February 22. Work involves repairing and upgrading the sanitary sewer system in <br />three locations on County Road B between Dale Street and Cohansey Street. The <br />project will be coordinated with Xcel Energy's gas replacement project on County Road <br />B. Road closures and detours will be needed for the work and will be communicated to <br />residents and business when the dates are known. <br />Ramsey County Ditch 4 Storm Sewer & Twin Lakes Trail Improvements <br />o Bids were opened on March 15 and the contract is scheduled to be awarded to Meyer <br />Contracting on March 22. Work involves replacing the existing ditch with an 84" pipe, <br />grading and installing a 10 foot wide bituminous trail over the pipe, lighting, <br />landscaping and tree installation. Work is anticipated to begin in late April. <br />
