Snelling Signal Upgrades <br />o MnDOT will be replacing the signals at Snelling and County Road C2 and Snelling and <br />Roselawn this summer. Included with the project is upgrades to ADA ped ramps. <br />Traffic will be maintained at all times on Snelling. Work began on April 21 for the C2 <br />signals. The east leg of the intersection is currently closed for two weeks. The west leg <br />will then be closed for two weeks. Work on the C2 signal should be completed in 4-6 <br />weeks. Work will then begin on the Snelling and Roselawn signal. This work should <br />take an additional 4-6 weeks. During this time, traffic on Snelling will be maintained <br />with no detours. <br />Sustainability Update <br />• Partners in Energy <br />o The Energy Action Team will have its fifth and final meeting on Monday, April 26, <br />from 2:00 p.m. — 4:30 p.m. The goal of the meeting is to review the strategies and <br />tactics of the energy action plan to help lower and avoid greenhouse gas emissions. <br />We will end the meeting with the neat steps of the plan, which is to get it approved by <br />City Council and to start implementation. To see information from the past meetings, <br />visit www.CitvOfRoseville.com/Partners-in-Energy. <br />Voluntary Benchmarking Program <br />o The Voluntary Benchmarking Program webpage is live, and can be found at <br />www.CitvofRoseville.com/VoluntarvBenchmarkim. <br />Staff held a virtual Voluntary Benchmarking Webinar on Thursday April 8. This <br />webinar was on the importance of voluntary benchmarking, how reporting works, and <br />how to report owner building data into portfolio manager. The webinar is intended for <br />any commercial, industrial, and non-profit property owners willing to participate. The <br />goal is to both inform Roseville businesses about the possibility for energy savings as <br />well for these properties to save money by becoming more energy efficient over time. <br />Staff are working diligently to increase awareness of the program, and outreach to <br />properties will be a priority through the neat webinar. <br />Best of B3 Award <br />On April 14, the City of Roseville was honored by the State of Minnesota's Best of <br />Buildings, Benchmarks, and Beyond (133) Benchmarking for a Local Government. <br />Roseville was recognized for decreasing energy usage by 26 percent from its 2018 <br />baseline. Roseville was able to see such a decrease in energy usage by installing solar <br />on the city campus rooftops and replacing equipment with more energy efficient <br />models. <br />The State of Minnesota is leading the nation in requiring 80% more energy efficient <br />State buildings in an effort to have all State construction carbon neutral by 2030. <br />Designed to increase energy efficiency and sustainability, B3 programs were <br />developed for and are required on State -funded projects in Minnesota Each year the <br />State recognizes improvements made across the state to improve energy efficiency. <br />To see all the award winners, visit: httns://www.b3mn.org/best-of-b3/best-of-b3-2021/ <br />
