Zoning Code Update
o The Community Development Department is leading an effort to update the City's
Zoning Code, the set of rules that identifies how individual properties within the City
can be used. It also sets standards for how buildings may be developed or changed. A
key component of this update process is outreach and engagement. Towards that end, a
series of meetings will be hosted on a variety of topics related to the Zoning Code. The
first of those meetings was held on Thursday, March 25, and focused on Equity and
Inclusion/Sustainability and Resilience. More information about these specific
meetings, how to register and about the overall Zoning Code Update project can be
found at the following webpage http://citvofroseville.com/zoningupdate.
City Council Update:
• Approved purchase agreement with Genisys Credit Union for purchase of Fairview Fire
Station.
• Appointed Commission members for Finance Commission, Public Works, Environment
and Transportation Commission, Police Civil Service Commission and Human Rights,
Inclusion and Engagement Commission.
• Reviewed Draft of Civic Campus Master Plan.
Major Maintenance Activities:
• Street and Storm
o Ongoing asphalt patching.
o Summer storage all plow equipment.
o Completed winter tree trimming of City boulevard trees.
o Ongoing sign work.
o Completed Spring City Street Sweeping.
o Sump cleaning.
o Compost site open.
Water and Sanitary Sewer
o Continued repairing water meters and MIUs.
o Continuing the process of collecting water service data and upgrading water meters and
MIUs in park buildings.
o Collected water samples for bacteriological testing and Disinfectant Byproducts.
o Continued with our annual valve exercising program (12" and larger).
o Began our annual Sanitary Sewer Cleaning Program for 2021.
o Continued working with city engineers and consulting engineers on the Galtier and
Long Lake lift stations and the Booster Phase 3 Projects.
o Met with AE2S regarding the 2021 SCADA System Upgrades for 2021.
o Toured 4 painting contractors through City Hall for the 2021 City Hall Painting Project.
o Worked with Systems Furniture to re -configure a cubicle in the Admin and Police areas.
o Worked with Cummins to service the city Hall and Maintenance Facility emergency
generators.
o Working with Yale Mechanical to replace drain pipe in the lower garage of City Hall
o Participated in pre -construction meeting.
o Repaired 3 broken water mains bring our season (October to March) total to 26.
o Continued laundering towels weekly used by office personnel for cleaning work areas.
