I Definitions <br />Aluminum cans <br />Disposable containers fabricated primarily of aluminum, commonly used for soda, beer, juice, <br />water or other beverages. <br />Annual Work Plan <br />The Contractor and City shall develop an Annual Work Plan to describe initiatives the City and <br />the Contractor will undertake to improve the City's recycling program. <br />Aseptic Packaging and Milk Cartons <br />Containers designed to maintain the sterility of a sterile (aseptic) product such as food. (e.g., <br />gable -top milk cartons, juice boxes, and aseptic packaging used for soup, broth, soy milk, etc.) <br />Aseptic packages are typically a mix of paper, polyethylene (low -density polyethylene [LDPE]), <br />and aluminum. <br />Carrier Stock <br />Paper injected with resins in order to resist moisture and used for containers to carry products <br />such as beer and soda pop. <br />City's Designated Contact Person <br />The City of Roseville (City) has designated Environmental Specialist Ryan Johnson as the City's <br />sole point of contact for prospective Contractors. <br />City -Designated Recyclables, or Recyclable Materials, or Recyclables <br />Acceptable Recyclable materials are listed and defined in Exhibit F, including the explicit list of <br />unacceptable materials. <br />The City encourages the Contractor to explore markets for additional types of Recyclable <br />material. Materials may be added to this list as part of Contractors proposal or by mutual written <br />Contract between the City and the Contractor. <br />City Buildings and City Parks <br />Municipal facilities where Recycling services are provided under this Agreement. See Exhibit D <br />for detailed lists and maps. <br />Clothes and Textiles <br />Towels, sheets, blankets, curtains, tablecloths, rags, and clothes including: belts, coats, hats, <br />gloves, and shoes and boots that are dry, clean, and free of mold, mildew, and excessive stains. <br />Collection <br />The aggregation and transportation of recyclable materials from the place at which they are <br />generated including all activities up to the time when they are delivered to a recycling facility. <br />Commodity <br />Any individual material, including specific industrial grade, as defined by this Contract. <br />RFP for City of Roseville Recycling Services • A-1 <br />
