Contract <br />Agreement between the City and Contractor to provide recycling collection services. <br />Contractor <br />The City's recycling service Contractor under the new Contract beginning operation on <br />January 1, 2022. <br />Corrugated Cardboard (Old Corrugated Cardboard) <br />Cardboard material with double wall construction and corrugated separation between walls <br />including boxes for delivery and take out pizzas. Does not include cardboard heavily coated in <br />plastic or wax. <br />Curbside <br />The area of public right-of-way between the property line and the curb or edge of the street but <br />not on the street. The term "curbside" may also include alley collection. <br />Curbside Recycling Carts <br />Wheeled carts used as part of a single -stream collection system. If the Contractor owns the carts, <br />carts shall be consistent in colors and design with a recycling symbol that is at least 4 inches tall <br />on two sides and approved instruction label on each lid, so as to be easily identified by the <br />resident/customer and the Contractor driver as the container for recyclable materials collection. <br />Curbside Recycling Service <br />The recycling collection services, specified in this RFP and the subsequent Contract, serving <br />customers with recycling pickup at the curb or alley at their residence. <br />Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) <br />The City is dedicated to promoting respectful conduct, equitable service, and diversity in our <br />community. Contractors partnering with the City shall support and abide by the City's <br />commitment to prioritize racial equity in their planning, delivery, and evaluation of programs, <br />policies and services. <br />Food Scraps <br />Residential organic materials derived from plant and animal matter including food waste that is <br />collected for composting. <br />Glass Jars and Bottles <br />Glass jars, bottles, and containers (lids/caps and pumps removed) that are used for packing and <br />bottling of food and beverages. <br />High -Density Polyethylene (HDPE) - Colored <br />Plastic bottles and thermoforms made from high density polyethylene resin with pigment or <br />coloring (e.g., laundry detergent and automatic dishwasher soap bottles). <br />RFP for City of Roseville Recycling Services • A-2 <br />
