<br />VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE <br />Meeting, Tuesday May 6 2.00 P.M. <br /> <br />209 <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present,Carlson <br />Willmus, Membrez,Connor and Hammersten. Ira Karon Village Attorney was also,present. <br />continued <br />The clerk read the minutes of the previousîmeeting of Thur. eve/April 17 and on <br />motion by Membrez,seconded by Carlson they were approved as corrected. Roll call,Ayee(5) <br />Nayes.-(O) <br /> <br />The hearing on the petition of &anger and Zeece for the rezoning of Lots 6,7, and 8 <br />Shady Beach lane was declared open. There being no one present opposing said re-zoning <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Carlson that <br /> <br />Lots 6, 7, and 8 in Shady Beach Addition <br />Sec. 13 Tn,29 Range 23 be re-zoned from <br />Residential A to a Business District. <br />Roll call Ayes-(S) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Mr. W.A.Naåseth of 2215 w. County Road B,requested a waiver of building regulations <br />so ªs to enable him to enlarge his garage to a double size. He had tbe signattree of <br />the adjoining property qwners consenting to the vhange. Membrez moved, seconded by <br />Hammersten that Mr. Naeseth be given a ten Jrear permit to enlargfÜhis garage to within <br />two feet of the adjoining property line. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Mr. Offerman of 1122 Brooks appeared before the council requesting permission to <br />allow a load of ready mix cement over the road to his home as he had to move into it <br />on Friday. A lot of requests of the same nature had been made recently. <br /> <br />Membrez moved,seconded by Hammersten that the Village Road restrictions be lifted as <br />of today. Roll call A,yes-(S) Nayes(O). <br /> <br />Mr. Schmidt of 76 Hatch st. owner of some property on Woodbridge St. south of So. <br />Owasso Blvd.asked if some grading and Oiling could be done on the street,apparently <br />the road had never been accepted by the former Township nor the Village in the recol- <br />lection of members who were on the board at that time. The Clerk was asked to have <br />Jos. lIoalska check the condition of the road and to check with the Surveyor's Dept. <br />about the road ever being taken over. <br /> <br />Mr. J .C.McMillan V.Pres. of Ralpþ Thomas and ASBocia.tes Engineers of Minneapolis <br />appeared before the Council telling of the services available by their firm. He was <br />asked to present a plan of operation and fees charged for the various types of service. <br /> <br />A letter from Tom Harkins was read asking for a permit to operate a minature golf <br />course. Two plans were presented,one for a golf course and the other for an operators <br />stand. Hammersten moved, seconded by Willmus that the Attorney draw up a. General <br />Amu5ement ordinance covering the above situation. Roll call A,yes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Membrez moved,seconded b~ Carlson that the Building Inspector issue a building <br />permit to Harkins for an operators stand subject to the building code. Roll call- <br />Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />A request was made by the Carnival Comm. of the Fire Dept. for permission to use <br />the old Village Hall and grounds for their annual Festival to be held in July. Connor <br />moved,eeconded b.Y Carlson that the request be granted. Roll call Ayee-(5) Nayea-(O). <br /> <br />Mr. A.H.Andreason of the Depot Nite Club appeared before the council about trans- <br />ferring his license to Mr. Caouette 1924 Stevens Ave So. Mpls. who was given an appli- <br />cation to fill out and return to the Clerk for the Councils action. <br />
