Roll call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a resolution -prepared by the Attorney for setting aside <br />$6,000.00 to the Sinking Fund for payment due January 2, 1954. Willmus moved, <br />seconded by Carlson, that the resolution be adouted. Roll call Aye8-(4) !.Tayes-(O). <br /> <br />Mayor Connor announced to Karon the names of the Council members appointed <br />to the VI'I.rious committees and asked if it was O.K. for them to function as such. <br />Inasmuch as w~ have no commission form of government, we could only act as a <br />committee in the various capacities to expedite matters previous to Council <br />meetings to speed up proceedings. <br /> <br />Hr. Jones, representing John Bouthilet, appeared before the Council with <br />a petition for rezoning property on Lexington and Dionne for the purpose of <br />erecting a store. On the plat submitted, a 16 & 26 ft. roadway was shown. <br />After some discussion regarding the roads as shown, Hammersten moved, seconded <br />by Carlson, that the petition be acce~ted and a public hearing be held on <br />Tuesday, January 20 at 2:00 P.M. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The East 297 feet of the West 330 feet of the South 280 <br />feet of the North ~ of the Southwest t of the Southwest i <br />of Section 14, Town 29, Range'23 I. from FarM Residence to <br />Business. <br />The Clerk read the totals of the bids to Membrez, who was late in arriving. <br />Discussion was held as to the ~mount of work we would be able to do. Connor <br />said the libra.ry people would be able to wait until May. Some of the features <br />in the proposed remodel ing were not wi thin our power to construct. Heating, <br />plumbing and water were needed at the Building and we would be able to go ahea.d <br />with that part of the work. Pump and well would cost around $500.00. <br /> <br />Connor moved, seconded by Membrez, that all bids be rejected. Roll call <br />Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br />
