Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: June 22, 2021 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2021 Pavement Management Project <br />o The contract was awarded to Bituminous Roadways, Inc. on April 12. Work consists of <br />8.7 miles of road resurfacing. Additionally, signal modifications to Snelling and Lydia <br />are included. A new pathway will also be installed on Rice Street between County <br />Road C2 and Woodlyn Avenue. Work began on June 7 and is progressing in four <br />neighborhoods. All work is expected to be completed by October. <br />• County Road B Sewer Improvements <br />o Bids were opened on February 4 and the contract was awarded to SGP Contracting, Inc. <br />on February 22. Work involves repairing and upgrading the sanitary sewer system in <br />three locations on County Road B between Dale Street and Cohansey Street. The <br />project will be coordinated with Neel Energy's gas replacement project on County <br />Road B. Road closures and detours will be needed for the work and will be <br />communicated to residents and businesses when final dates are known. The estimated <br />start date is in mid -July and should be completed in 3-4 weeks. <br />Ramsey County Ditch 4 Storm Sewer & Twin Lakes Trail Improvements <br />o Bids were opened on March 15 and the contract was awarded to Meyer Contracting on <br />March 22. Work involves replacing the existing ditch with an 84" pipe, grading and <br />installing a 10-foot wide bituminous trail over the pipe, lighting, landscaping and tree <br />installation. Major pipe work began May 17 and is expected to be completed by the end <br />of June. All pipe and trail work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September. <br />2021 Sewer Lining <br />o The contract was awarded to Visu-Sewer on November 30, 2020. The project consists <br />of lining 7.12 miles of pipe within the city. Work has been ongoing since December <br />and is 90 percent complete. All work is expected to be completed on the project by the <br />end of July. <br />• Cleveland Watermain Project <br />o The contract for this project was awarded on February 22 to SGP Contracting, Inc. <br />Work involves the replacement of the watermain between County Road C2 and County <br />Road D. No road closures are anticipated but traffic on Cleveland Avenue will be <br />reduced to one lane in each direction. Work began May 17"'. Completion of the project <br />is expected by mid -August. <br />
