Zoning Code Update o The Community Development Department is leading an effort to update the City's Zoning Code, the set of rules that identifies how individual properties within the City can be used. It also sets standards for how buildings may be developed or changed. A key component of this update process is outreach and engagement. Towards that end, a series of meetings will be hosted on a variety of topics related to the Zoning Code. The first of those meetings was held on Thursday, March 25, and focused on Equity and Inclusion/Sustainability and Resilience. Major Maintenance Activities: • Street and Storm o Ongoing asphalt patching. o Ongoing sign work. o Ongoing message painting. o Monthly compost turning. o Compost deliveries o Mulched landscaped areas. o Ongoing weeding of streetscape areas. o Completed third mowing. o Working on pathway at Centre Pointe Drive. o Repairing catch basins. Water and Sanitary Sewer o Continued flushing and inspecting fire hydrants. o Continued repairing water meters and MIUs. o Continuing the process of collecting water service data and upgrading water meters and MIUs in park buildings. o Collected water samples for bacteriological testing. o Continued with our annual valve exercising program (12" and larger). o Continued the Sanitary Sewer Cleaning Program for 2021. o Completed the Galtier sanitary sewer lift station project. o Continued working with engineering staff and the contractor on the Cleveland Avenue Water Main Project, The Enclave at McCarron's Lake and the 2021 PMP. Staff has also worked with MnDOT and their contractor on the 16" water main replacement under the 35W Bridge over County Road C. o Continued working with AE2S on the 2021 SCADA System Upgrades. o The City Hall painting project has started in the Engineering department and will wrap up this week The painters will then work on the Police department. Maintenance staff have been helping with removing office cabinets for the painters and putting them back up. o Continued laundering towels weekly used by office personnel for cleaning work areas.. o Replaced the garage floor drains for garages 3 & 4 at the Police department.
