Ira Karon, Village Attorney, <br />and Milner Carley, Village Engineer, ',.ere alGo present. <br /> <br />Willmus moved, seconded by Carlson, that reading of minutes be waived and <br />approved according to copies furnished each member of the Council. Holl call <br />Ayes-(5) Hayes-(O). <br /> <br />Willmusmoved, secended by Carlson, that the bids on Power Grader be opened <br />and read aloud by the Clerk. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Willmus moved, seconded by Carlson, that we open bids on truck. Roll call <br />Ay~s-(5) Hayes-(O). The bids were opened by the Clerk and read as follows: <br />Chas. Olson & Sons $12,379.!15 <br />Minn. R.W.D. Co. 9,985.00 (Model HR) <br />Minn. F.W .D. Co. 9,750.00 (Model HAY) <br /> <br />Cormor moved, seconded byCarlson, that tho bids be referred to the CoĊ“rittee <br />for tabulation and checking against specifications. Roll call Aye8-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Vies Chandler appeared before the Council with a request for permission to <br />build his garage to the W(~st on the north fJide of his present building. Karon <br />stated that a petition woul¿ havo to be presented with the necessarJT signatures <br />for a change in set back. He could go within 5 ft. élt this time, but stated he <br />needed the extra 5 ft. for the trucks to turn around in. The Clerk gave Chandler <br />a petition to be signed by the adjoining property owners. <br /> <br />The Clerk read the petition for the application of Charles Krause for rezoning <br />of Lots 13 and 14, Broadview Addition, and the report of the Zoning Boarò which <br />recommended that it be denied. Mr. Woet representing Don West who lives in Rhome <br />just west of the property opposed the rezoning saying it l'Toulè devaluate his client's <br />property inasmuch as no rlefini te plan for the use of the property at this t5.me was <br />8.vailable. Membrez noved, seconded by Hammersten, that the matter be postponed <br />until next Tuesday. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Ernie Nelson appeared before the board about permission to build on a house <br />on County Road "B". It will be 68 ft. on a 75 ft. lot, the fourth lott west of <br />Hamline on north side of county Road "W'. He was told to bring his plan in for <br />a permit. <br />
