Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: August 24, 2021 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2021 Pavement Management Project <br />o The contract was awarded to Bituminous Roadways, Inc. on April 12. Work consists of <br />8.7 miles of road resurfacing. Additionally, signal modifications to Snelling and Lydia <br />are included. A new pathway will also be installed on Rice Street between County <br />Road C2 and Woodlyn Avenue. <br />o Work began on June 7. Work on phases 1-3 are complete. Curb and utility work on <br />phases 4 and 6 are complete. Milling and paving on phases 4-6 is ongoing and is <br />expected to be completed by the end of the August. <br />o Work on the new Rice street pathway started last week and is expected to be completed <br />by August 27. <br />o Work on the Snelling Avenue and Lydia Ave signal modifications is complete. <br />o All work is expected to be completed by early September. <br />County Road B Sewer Improvements <br />o Bids were opened on February 4 and the contract was awarded to SGP Contracting, Inc <br />on February 22. Work involves repairing and upgrading the sanitary sewer system in <br />three locations on County Road B between Dale Street and Cohansey Street. The <br />project will be coordinated with Neel Energy's gas replacement project on County <br />Road B. All utility work is completed and Neel is replacing the gas main currently. <br />The County Road B and Dale Street intersection remains closed but is expected to open <br />around August 30. <br />Ramsey County Ditch 4 Storm Sewer & Twin Lakes Trail Improvements <br />o Bids were opened on March 15 and the contract was awarded to Meyer Contracting on <br />March 22. Work involves replacing the existing ditch with an 84" pipe, grading and <br />installing a 10-foot wide bituminous trail over the pipe, lighting, landscaping and tree <br />installation. All pipe work and major grading is completed. The trail and lighting work <br />will be ongoing. All work is scheduled to be completed by early September. <br />• 2021 Sewer Lining <br />o The contract was awarded to Visu-Sewer on November 30, 2020. The project consists <br />of lining 7.12 miles of pipe within the city. Work has been ongoing since December <br />and is 95% complete. All work is expected to be completed on the project by the end of <br />August. <br />
