VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE Meeting Tuesday April 21, 19S3 at 2z00 P.M. 322 The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present: Carlson, Willmus, Membrez, Connor and Hammersten. Ira Karon, Village Attorney, and Milner Carley, Village Engineer, were also present. Membrez moved, l'Ieconded by Carlson, that the reading of the minutes be waived and approved according to copies furniRhed each member of the Council. Roll call Ayes-(S) Nayes-(O). Hammersten moved, seconded by Willmus, that bids on l! Ton Truck be opened. Roll call Ayes-(S) Mayes-(O). The bids were opened and read as followsl East Side Ford Grand Ave. Motor Co. Downtown I~ord Rihm Motor Co. Erickson Motors $2700.00 2647.06 2660.71 2966.00 2786.b3 Membrez moved, seconded by Wil1mus, that the above bids be referred to 'Committee for tabulation. Roll call Ayes-(S} Nayes-(O). Hammersten movod, seconded by Carlson, that bids on Cooler be opened. Roll call Ayes-(5) N~eB-(O). The bids were opened and read as follows: Universal Equip. Sales Co. $710.50 each, installed The Clerk read a letter from Superior products Mfg. Co. stating they were unable to bid as they are manufacturers only, but would be willing to sell us a cooler, we to do our own installing.... Connor moved, Membrez seconded, that bids be referred to Committee for tabulating. Roll call Ayes-(S) Nayes-(O). The Clerk read petition of Dr. J. H. Windorfer and the report of Zoning Board. Membrez raised the question of property set-backe and that there were two build- ings on the lot. Section 5-9 of the Building Code was read trying to clarify the situation. After some discussion as to what business should go on to the property and whether we could limit it for use of physicians or dentists only, it was decided to explore the situation. Mrs. Moga spoke in favor of the location and had signed the petition, but she did not feel it should be rezoned business. Hammersten moved, Willmus fteconded, that. the hearing be postponed to May 5th. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). The Clerk read the petition of Ellen Ctlristensen and Vivian Roberts for re- zoning the following described property: N 75 Ft. of S 920 Ft. of E 183 Ft. of NE 1/4 of Section 12, Township 29, Range 23. Subject to Rice Street Christensen appeared and said that due to the delay in granting the rezoning, the people who proposed to buy have backed out. They planned on putting in an ornamental iron shop. Willmus mov~d, seconded by Carlson, that the property be rezoned from Farm ResidenceDistri,~t to Commercial District. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayea-(O).
