Ira Karon, Village Attorney, <br />and Milner Carley, Village Engineer, were also present. <br /> <br />Membrez moved, l'Ieconded by Carlson, that the reading of the minutes be waived <br />and approved according to copies furniRhed each member of the Council. Roll call <br />Ayes-(S) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Willmus, that bids on l! Ton Truck be opened. <br />Roll call Ayes-(S) Mayes-(O). Roll call Ayes-(S} Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Hammersten movod, seconded by Carlson, that bids on Cooler be opened. Roll <br />call Ayes-(5) N~eB-(O). The bids were opened and read as follows: <br /> <br />Universal Equip. Sales Co. <br /> <br />$710.50 each, installed <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from Superior products Mfg. Co. stating they were <br />unable to bid as they are manufacturers only, but would be willing to sell us a <br />cooler, we to do our own installing.... <br /> <br />Connor moved, Membrez seconded, that bids be referred to Committee for <br />tabulating. Roll call Ayes-(S) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk read petition of Dr. J. H. Windorfer and the report of Zoning Board. <br />Membrez raised the question of property set-backe and that there were two build- <br />ings on the lot. Section 5-9 of the Building Code was read trying to clarify <br />the situation. After some discussion as to what business should go on to the <br />property and whether we could limit it for use of physicians or dentists only, <br />it was decided to explore the situation. <br /> <br />Mrs. Moga spoke in favor of the location and had signed the petition, but <br />she did not feel it should be rezoned business. Hammersten moved, Willmus fteconded, <br />that. the hearing be postponed to May 5th. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk read the petition of Ellen Ctlristensen and Vivian Roberts for re- <br />zoning the following described property: <br /> <br />N 75 Ft. of S 920 Ft. of E 183 Ft. of NE 1/4 <br />of Section 12, Township 29, Range 23. <br />Subject to Rice Street <br /> <br />Christensen appeared and said that due to the delay in granting the rezoning, <br />the people who proposed to buy have backed out. They planned on putting in an <br />ornamental iron shop. <br /> <br />Willmus mov~d, seconded by Carlson, that the property be rezoned from Farm <br />ResidenceDistri,~t to Commercial District. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayea-(O). <br />
