VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE Continued Keeting Tues. July 14, 1953 at 2100 P.M. The Village Council met on the above date as a continuation of the meeting of July 7, 1953, with the following members present a Carlson, Willmus, Membrez, Connor, and Hammer~ten. Milner Carley, Village Eng- ineer, and Ira Karon, Village Attorney, were also present. Membrez moved, seconded by Hammersten, that the bids on the grading of Roma St. between Fernwood and Dunlap St. be opened. Roll call Ayes-(5) N~es-(O). Howard Angel $3593.50 2124.68 1964.00 2591.40 3471.00 2672.00 Hammersten moved, Willmus seconded, that the bids be referred to the Engineer for tabulating. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-( 0). Mayor Connor asked a large gathering of people if anyone wished to be heard by the Council. Mr. Douglas, attorney representing several interested property owners in the vicinity of Victoria and Lovell, ap- peared to petition the Council to take action in the matter of ordin- ances not being complied with by the trailer camp now located at approx- imately 2300 No. Victoria, in an area which is zoned Farm Residence. The trailer camp, he said, is at the present time expanding in the westerly direction and this expansion is now being carried on. Secondly, the :þrailer camp is clearly a nuisance in that area. Mr. Äretz, attorney, stated that licenses were required from the Village up until 1951, but now the trailer camps are regulated by the State. He wanted to know if the owners had complied with the state law in all regulations, such as a regular listing of all children of school age, etc. Mr. William C. Meyer, attorney and property owner at Nancy Place and Grandview, stated that the trailer camp was small at the time he bought his property, as shown on the plat map, but with the expansion started now it is not in compliance with the site at the time of his purchase of his home. It was brought out that a sewer line has now been started that seems to include the entire property purchased by the new owner of the trailer camp, not the amount of land formerly used. The question was asked as to whether the land had actu41ly changed hands, and Mrs. Cook, the former owner, stated that she had sold the land approximately two weeks ago. Kayor Connor said that no application has been made for an extension of the camp. Mr. Meyer said that it now becomes the duty of the Board to see whether or not there is an extension proposed or being constructed of this trailer camp.
