<br />Continued Page 3. <br /> <br />Connor brought up for consideration the idea of setting up an <br />engineering department with Mr. Carley having a desk at the Village <br />office and being paid a salary, so that all matters pertaining to roads <br />and engineering could be referred to him. Then all small matters would <br />not have to be referred to the Clerk and the Council. Membrez, Willmus, <br />and Karon appointed as Committee for this. <br />Carlson inquired whether it would be advisable to have an evening <br />meeting once a month or so. It would be a satisfaction to the people, <br />he thought, and would take some of the pressure off the afternoon meet- <br />ings. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded, that the following resolution <br />concerning the over-all street plan for Section l5 be adopted. Roll <br />call Ayes-(4) N~es-(O). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Engineer of the Village of Roseville has <br />prepared a map, a copy of which is hereto attached, of Section 15, <br />Township 29, Range 23, except the Southwest Quarter (1/4) thereof, <br />being within the Village of Roseville, indicating the lands re- <br />served for future streets and the proposed future extension or <br />widening of existing streets within said area, and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, public hearing was held upon said map on July 7, 1953, <br />after ten (10) d~s public notice thereof in the Rose Tribune, the <br />legal newspaper for said Village, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the original of said map is on file with the Clerk of said <br />Village, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the original of the map hereto <br />attached is adopted as the official street map of the Village of <br />Roeeville for the area covered thereby, and <br /> <br />RESOLVED FURTHER, That this resolution, together with the hereto <br />attached 'copy of said map, be published in the Rose Tribune, and, <br />together with the affidavit of publication, be filed with the <br />Register of Deeds for Ramsey County, Minnesota, and the Registrar <br />of Titles for said County, if any property registered in the <br />torrens system of titles is affected thereby. <br /> <br />An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 142 was read by the Clerk, <br />Qhanging the distribution of fees for the Electrical Inspector and also <br />doubling the permit fee i' the work is done without first obtaining an <br />electrical permit. Hammersten moved, Willmus seconded, that Ordinance <br />No. l57 be adopted. Roll call Ayes-(4) N~es-{O). <br /> <br />An ordinance uending Ordinance No. 155 was read by the Clerk, <br />providing for the charging of double fees by the Plumbing Inspector if <br />work is done without first obtaining a plumbing permit. Hammersten <br />moved, seconded by Carlson, that Ordinance No. 158 be adopted. Roll <br />call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk read an ordinance amending Ordinance No. loo, providing <br />for the charging of double fees by the Building Inspector if work is <br />done without first obtaining a building permit. Hammersten moved, <br />seconded by Carlson, that Ordinance No. l59 be adopted.
