<br />Continued Page 2. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Ernest Markham of Roseville, Minnesota is <br />the lowest responsible bidder, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ROSE- <br />VILLE: <br /> <br />1. The improvement of Roms Street from the east line of Fern- <br />wood Street to the west line of Dunlap Street by grading and install- <br />ing proper drainage structures is hereby ordered. <br /> <br />2. The plans and specifications prepared by M. J. Carley, <br />engineer for such improvements, a copy of which plans and specifica- <br />tions is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved <br />and shall be filed with the Village Clerk. <br /> <br />3. That the .Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into a contract with Ernest Markham of Roseville, Minnesota, <br />in the name of the Village of Roseville for the improvement of Roma <br />Street from the east line of Fernwood Street to the west line of <br />Dunlap Street according to the plans and specifications approved <br />therefor by the Village Council and on file in the office of the <br />Village Clerk. <br /> <br />4. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return <br />forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except that <br />the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall <br />be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Village Council this 21st day of July, 1953. <br /> <br />Mr. F. C. Douglass, representing residents who were present on July 14 <br />objecting to the enlargement of the Trailer Park on Victoria near Hwy. 36, <br />appeared to thank the Council for their prompt action regarding work being <br />done at the trailer camp and also to present a petition to the Council and <br />asking them to set a date for a public hearing to rezone a certain area <br />from Farm Residence to Class A Residential, the area bounded on the south <br />by S.T.H. 36, on the east by No. Grotto, on the north by County Rd. B2, <br />and on the west by Lexington Ave. <br /> <br />Carl.on aoved, Hammersten seconded, that the petition be accepted <br />and refèrred to the zoning board and püblic hearing be '"held by the Council <br />on August 18th at 2:00 P.M. and that an abstract certificate be furnished <br />by the petitioners if necessary. Roll call Ayes-(,) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Council was asked if an evening meeting could be held for this <br />public hearing.
