Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: October 26, 2021 Item No: 4 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• Ramsey County Ditch 4 Storm Sewer & Twin Lakes Trail Improvements <br />o Work involved replacing the existing ditch with an 84" pipe, grading and installing a <br />10-foot wide bituminous trail over the pipe, lighting, landscaping and tree installation. <br />All major work on the project is completed and the trail is open for use. <br />• 2021 Sewer Lining <br />o The contract was awarded to Visu-Sewer on November 30, 2020. The project consists <br />of lining 7.12 miles of pipe within the city. Work has been ongoing since December <br />and is 95% complete. All work is expected to be completed on the project by the end of <br />November. <br />• St Rose of Lima Drainage Improvements <br />o Bids were opened on February 3 and a contract was awarded to OMG Midwest on <br />February 22. The project is a joint project with Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed <br />District. Work involves reducing the impervious amount of the parking lot, installation <br />of rain gardens and installation of an underground storage system. The improvements <br />will reduce runoff and provide treatment which should help reduce flooding in the <br />neighborhood. All underground work is completed. The curb has been installed and <br />the pavement will be installed next week, completing the project. <br />Marion Street Pathway <br />o The project was awarded on August 23. <br />o Work involves the installation of aggregate base, paving, ADA curb ramps and signage <br />related to a new trail being completed in conjunction with the Enclave Development <br />which will connect the trail on South McCarron's Boulevard to Marion Street. The <br />project is funded using Community Development Block Grant Funds. Work is <br />expected to begin next week and should be completed by early November. <br />Ramsey County Updates <br />• Victoria Street Railroad Crossing <br />o The Victoria Street railroad crossing just north of County Road C will have the railroad <br />crossing signals upgraded over the next few weeks. The new signals will also include <br />gates. <br />• County Road B2 Resurfacing and Signal Improvements <br />o This summer the County plans to resurface County Road B2 between Fairview Avenue <br />and Hamline Avenue. As part of the project, they will be replacing four signal lights in <br />
