<br />Continued Page L. <br /> <br />Clerk reported that Mr. Williams has asked if some "No Parking" <br />signs could be placed on Dellwood North from "36" to the High School. <br />Also there have been complaints about the speed on Dellwooè between <br />"Bit and "36". There is a great deal of racing there now that school <br />has started. Connor moved, Willmus seconded, that the Clerk obtain the <br />necessary "No Parking" signs and 30 M.P.H. signs for roads leading to <br />the High School. Roll call Ayes-(h) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Constable Nelson said there has been quite a bit of confusion on <br />36 and Lexington with the start of the school season, and thinks there <br />should be someone there in the morning for a week or so to instruct <br />people on the proper turns on the cloverleaf at this intersection. <br />He had stopped a few of the speeders on roads leading to the High <br />School and warned them. <br /> <br />There was a discussion regarding contacting the State Highway <br />Dept. about traffic on T.H. 36. Carley suggested that it should be <br />pinned down closely to the problem existing on 36 and that one of the <br />things to be suggested could be the construction of County Rd. B2 <br />from Lexington to Hamline to hel~ alleviate the traffic problems <br />increased by the opening of the hew high school. Karon thought the <br />school district officials should also contact the State authorities. <br /> <br />Connor moved, Hammersten seconded, that Karon draft a letter to <br />the Commissioner of Highways requesting information to determine if <br />they would cooperate with the Village on roads leading to the new <br />high school. The letter is to be submitted to Carley to present to <br />the Highway Department. Roll call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from Mr. Galesi of the Rose Vista Apts. <br />asking the Village to accept the streets within the Rose Vista Apt. <br />area because of the great increase in their taxes. Hammersten moved, <br />Connor seconded, that this be referred to Carley and Willmus for <br />investigation and report at the next meeting. Roll call Ayes-(L) <br />Nayes-( 0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read an ordinance drawn up concerning the pumping of <br />cesspools, etc. Hammersten moved, Willmus seconded, that Ordinance <br />I <br />No. 168 be adopted. Roll call Ayes-(h) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Clerk read ordinance amending the electrical ordinance which would <br />provide for a reinspection fee for inspections when the work has not <br />been done correctly at the time of the first inspection. There was a <br />discussion as to whether it might not be wiser to license the <br />electricians and thus have better control of the problem. <br /> <br />Connor moved, Harnroersten seconded, that Mr. Karon draw up <br />ordinances providing for the licensing of Master Electricians and <br />Plumbers. Roll call Ayes-(L) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Connor moved, Hammersten seconded, that the electrical ordinance <br />be amended to provide for a fee for temporary service inspection, Karon <br />to draw up the necessary ord:mance. Roll call Ayes-(L) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Connor seconded, that Margaret Strecker be <br />employed at the Village Office as Clerk-Stenographer on a part-time <br />basis at the rate of $1.25 per hour.
