Roll call Ayes-(5)
Nayes-( 0).

Mr. Leben appeared before the Council in regard to petition to rezone his
property from Class A to Commercial. The hearing on the Leben's rezoning
was opened and Mr. Lebens explained that the Assessor's office had
classified them as Residence A and the property to the west is zoned
Business and they feel their property should also be zoned business. The
Clerk read the ¿oning Board report denying rezoning because the adjoining
owners had not signed the petition.
Motion made by Hammersten, seconded by Connors, the matter be continued to
October 19th for hearing of the Zoning Board and the Village Council
October 20th and notices be sent to the adjoining property owners.

Clerk read petition for the Ricker Store location. There being no
objections Hammersten moved, Connors, seconded, that the Ricker Store pro~-
erty described as follows:
the West 40 feet of the East 288 feet of that part of the
Northeast ì of the Southwest t of Sec. 11, T. 29, R. 23
described as follows: Commencing at a point on the East
line of the Southwest i of Sec. 11, 655.74 feet South from
the center line of said Section; thence West 1320 feet;
thence South 163.25 feet; thence East 990 feet thereof,
according to the United States Government Survey thereof.
from a Residence District "A" to a Business District with in the meaning
of and as described by said Ordinance No. 149.

The abandoning of Dunlap St. was discussed. Mayor Connor asked if any
plans had been furnished by Mr. Krannak or Mr. Margolis. Mr. Carley
furnished a layout of the proposed parking area and the matter was discussed
between adjoining property owners.

Mrs. Kuivinen reminded the Council that property south of her was left as
residential and 10 ft. back of her property was left to plant trees when
the property was previously rezoned to commercial property.

Mr. Reiling said he believed that grading Dionne would compensate for the
,closing of Dunlap. He personally did not object to it, but the ideas of
the group would change his opinion.

Mr. Krannak said there were three or four other property owners and he
felt they would be glad to put Dionne Street through. He claimed there
would be no openings into Larpenteur only at Lexington and Fernwood for the
parking area proposed which would prevent the hazard of crossing Dunlap
between the two shopping districts.

Motion was made by Hammersten and seconded by Connors that the matter be
continued until the November 2nd meeting when completed plans for the
proposed district be presented by Mr. Krannak and Mr. Margolis.
