<br />Page 2. <br /> <br />Mr. Keyes representing Paper Calmenson asked the continuation of the hearing <br />to rezone the property. <br />Motion made by Membrez and seconded by Willmus that the matter be continued <br />until November 2nd. Roll call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Mr. Vielleaux requested permission to build a brick faced restaurant 30'x50' <br />on a 50'x150' lot on Snelling, Northeast of County Road ItB" but did not <br />have complete plans with him. <br />Motion made by Membrez, seconded by Connors, this <br />be submitted to the Village Engineer and Building <br />before any decision is made. Roll call Ayes-(5) <br /> <br />matter along with the plans <br />Inspector for further study <br />Nayes-( 0). <br /> <br />Ernie Markham present bill for filling a basement on Draper St. <br /> <br />Membrez moved, seconded by Carlson, that we accept Transit Avenue as Mr. <br />Carley reported that Transit Avenue was graded and gravelled according to <br />Village specifications. Jurgenson's Willows Plat was presented for approval but due to Jurgenson's <br />location of streets, Mr. Jurgenson decided to discuss the matter further with Willows <br />the Village Engineer. Plat <br /> <br />Motion made by Membrez, seconded by Willmus, we adopt the following resolution: Roma St. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the village improvement <br />on July 27, 1953, Ernest Markham of the Village of Rosevi1le, Minnesota, completed. <br />has satisfactorily completed the improvement of Roma Street between the <br />west lane of Dunlap Street and the east lane of Fernwood Street in <br />accordance with such contract and <br />WHEREAS, said Ernest Markham performed additional work at the <br />direction of the village for which said contract provided for additinnal <br />compensation and <br />WHEREAS, said additional work is of the reasonable and agreed <br />value of Two hundred fifty-nine and 88/100 ($259.88) dollars. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br />That the work completed under said contract, together with <br />said additional work is hereby accepted and approved, and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Rosevi1le clerk and mayor are <br />hereby directed to issue a proper order for the final payment on such <br />contract taking the contractor's receipt in full. <br />Adopted by the council this 6th day of October, 1953. <br /> <br />Motion made by Membre:z, seconded by Connors that the following resolution be <br />adopted which pertains to assessing for the residential portion of the <br />improvement made on Roma: <br />WHEREAS, a contract has been let and the work performed for the <br />improvement of Roma Street between the west side of Dunlap Street to the <br />east side of Fernwood Street by Ernest Markham and the cost of such <br />improvement was Two thousand twenty-three and 88/100 ($2223.88) dollars <br />and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the makir'g of said improvement <br />amount to $ 10.00 , so that the total cost of the improvement will be <br />$ 889.2) ãña--of-rhis cost the village will pay all in excess of Eight <br />hundred seventy-nine and 23/100 ($879.23) dollars as its share of the cost. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, <br />MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby <br />declared to be $879.23. <br /> <br />Residential <br />portion of <br />Roma imp. <br />
