DISTRIBUTION CENTER: An enclosed building primarily used for receipt, temporary storage and 328 <br />redistribution of goods, typically involving heavy truck and/or freight rail traffic. 329 <br />DRIP LINE: A vertical line extending from the outer surface of a tree’s branch tips down to the ground. 330 <br />DORMER: A window set vertically in a structure that projects through a sloping roof or a structure that 331 <br />contains such a window. 332 <br />STUDENT HOUSING: Group living quarters designed for students of an elementary, middle, junior, or 333 <br />high school, college, university, or seminary, organized and owned by such institution. 334 <br />DRIVE-THROUGH: Consisting of a driveway and window, opening, canopy, or other facilities used for 335 <br />serving patrons seated in an automobile including the stacking spaces in which vehicles wait. Drive-336 <br />throughs may be associated with principal uses such as restaurants, banks, or drugstores, or may be free-337 <br />standing, such as coffee kiosks, ATMs, etc. 338 <br />DRY CLEANING ESTABLISHMENT: An establishment that launders or dry cleans fabric, textiles, 339 <br />wearing apparel, or similar articles, including drop-off of articles by customers or cleaning of articles 340 <br />dropped off at other locations. 341 <br />DWELLING: A building or portion thereof designed or used primarily as living quarters for one or more 342 <br />families, but not including hotels or other accommodations for the transient public, lodging houses, 343 <br />housing cooperative or other group living arrangements. 344 <br />DWELLINGS, COURTYARD COTTAGE: A development of one-family detached dwellings where a 345 <br />courtyard of open space fronts on the public street and the individual dwellings are accessed from shared 346 <br />driveways and serve the rear of the dwellings. 347 <br />DWELLING, FOUR-FAMILY [QUADRUPLEX]: A building containing four dwelling units that are 348 <br />independent from one another, with yards on all sides of the building. 349 <br />DWELLING, MULTI-FAMILY: A building, or portion of a building, designed exclusively for occupancy 350 <br />by 3 five or more families living independently of each other in individual dwelling units. (See also 351 <br />“Multi-family Complex). 352 <br />DWELLING, ONE-FAMILY ATTACHED [TOWNHOUSE, ROWHOUSE]: A one-family dwelling 353 <br />unit, with a private entrance, which is part of a structure whose dwelling units are attached horizontally in 354 <br />a linear arrangement, and having totally exposed front and rear walls to be used for access, light and 355 <br />ventilation. 356 <br />DWELLING, ONE-FAMILY DETACHED: A building designed exclusively for and occupied 357 <br />exclusively by one family in one dwelling unit, with yards on all sides. 358 <br />DWELLING, THREE-FAMILY [TRIPLEX]: A building containing three dwelling units that are 359 <br />independent from one another, with yards on all sides of the building. 360 <br />DWELLING, TWO-FAMILY, ATTACHED [TWIN HOME]: A one-family dwelling which is attached 361 <br />on one side to another one-family dwelling with a common side wall, each of which is located on an 362 <br />individual lot. 363
