a. Equipment and goods: Greater setbacks shall be considered for pressurized canisters or 2608 <br />potentially explosive goods. Equipment and goods shall be screened by screen wall or fence 2609 <br />at least 6 feet in height and at least 95% opaque. Equipment available for rent may be 2610 <br />displayed without screening in an area not exceeding 10% of the screened outdoor storage 2611 <br />area. 2612 <br />b. Inoperable/out of service vehicles or equipment: All vehicles or equipment which are 2613 <br />inoperable or unused for more than 72 hours shall be screened by screen wall or fence at least 2614 <br />6 feet in height and at least 95% opaque. 2615 <br />c. Loose materials: All materials shall be screened by screen wall or fence at least 6 feet in 2616 <br />height and at least 95% opaque. Special attention shall be given to the need to control erosion 2617 <br />and prevent pollution. Small amounts of materials stored outdoors and available for sale may 2618 <br />be displayed in an area without screening. 2619 <br />32. Park and Ride Facility: There are no specific standards for this use. 2620 <br />33. Pawn Shop: There are no specific standards for this use. 2621 <br />34. Place of Assembly: A facility established after the effective date of this ordinance within a 2622 <br />predominantly residential or mixed-use area shall have vehicular access to a collector or higher 2623 <br />classification street. 2624 <br />35. Renewable Energy Systems: There are no specific standards for this use. 2625 <br />36. Transit Center: There are no specific standards for this use. Fleet vehicles: All outdoor storage shall occur on paved surfaces consistent with the parking area 2628 <br />requirements of Section 1019.11 of this Title, and shall adhere to the parking area setback 2629 <br />requirements in the applicable zoning district. Fleet vehicles in active use need not be screened, 2630 <br />but inoperable or otherwise out-of-service vehicles (e.g., snow plows in the summer, or “retired” 2631 <br />vehicles) shall adhere to the requirements for outdoor storage of inoperable/out-of-service 2632 <br />vehicles or equipment. (Ord. 1544 2-12-2018) 2633 <br />38. Motor freight terminal 2634 <br />a. All outdoor semi-trailer storage shall occur on paved surfaces consistent with the parking area 2635 <br />requirements of Section 1019.11 of this Title, and shall adhere to the parking area setback 2636 <br />requirements in the applicable zoning district except that no outdoor semi-trailer storage shall 2637 <br />be allowed between a principal building and the primary public street as determined by City 2638 <br />staff. Areas of outdoor semi-trailer storage shall not obstruct required drive aisles or parking 2639 <br />stalls. 2640 <br />b. All trailer shall be parked/stored a minimum of 10 feet from a side- or rear-yard property line. 2641 <br />c. Semi-trailers stored adjacent to Office/Business Park Employment, Employment Center, or 2642 <br />Regional Business Core Mixed Use zoned property shall provide a 10-foot buffer area 2643 <br />complete with screen planting and an opaque wall or fence a minimum of 8 feet in height as 2644 <br />approved by the Community Development Department. 2645
