Sustainability Update <br />• Partners in Energy (PiE) <br />Staff continues to meet with PiE every other week to discuss the current work and the <br />next steps to implement the plan. <br />Partners in Energy and City staff worked with Keystone Community Services during <br />the Food Distribution Event at the Maintenance Facility on Saturday Nov 20. Keystone <br />Community Services provided fruits, vegetables, and other grocery items at a drive - <br />through grocery event hosted at the Maintenance Facility. PiE volunteers and staff <br />worked with Keystone to provide a flyer about low-cost/no-cost energy efficiency <br />solutions to help reduce household energy costs. The City, along with Neel Energy, <br />provided Energy Efficient Lighting Kits and LED light bulbs as handouts with the <br />energy efficiency flyer. <br />o More information can be found at www.CitvOfRoseville.com/Partners-in-Energy <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Street and Storm <br />o Completed paving of Centerpointe pathway. <br />o Ongoing sidewalk panel grinding trip hazards. <br />o Ongoing pavement patching. <br />o Ongoing sign work. <br />o Ongoing catch basin repairs. <br />o Ongoing compost site maintenance and pile turning. Compost Site open. <br />o Ongoing misc. tree work. <br />o Ongoing Streetscape maintenance. <br />Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />o Located city -owned facilities for Gopher State One Call locate requests. <br />o Continued repairing water meters and MIUs. <br />o Continuing the process of collecting water service data and upgrading water meters and <br />MIUs in park buildings. <br />o Collected water samples for bacteriological testing. <br />o Collected water samples for quarterly Disinfection Byproduct testing. <br />o Completed the Sanitary Sewer Cleaning Program for 2021. <br />o Continued working with engineering staff on the Long Lake sanitary sewer lift station <br />proj ect. <br />o Continued laundering towels weekly used by office personnel for cleaning work areas. <br />o The Minnesota Department of Health performed their Annual Sanitary Inspection of our <br />water system. <br />o Two sections of Sewer main repaired on Lexington Ave. <br />o Three water main breaks repaired. <br />o Working with contractor to seal gate valve vaults on Cleveland Ave. <br />o Worked with contractor to repair private sewer main on Cleveland, which was hit <br />during water main project. <br />o Jetted and inspected storm sewer at the ice oval, still ongoing. <br />o Shut down and removed irrigation meters for townhome Associations. <br />o Worked with contractor for water main valve repair and disconnect. (Lexington and <br />Josephine) <br />o Pump #5 repairs finished and put back in service at the booster station. <br />o Valve machine repairs completed and put back into service. <br />o Repaired valves at Fairview and Co Rd B2. <br />
