Standard crosswalk markings shall be a minimum of 6 feet and maybe the same wdth <br />as the approach walkway ifthe walkway is vAderthan 6 feet. This marking should <br />be considered for crosswalks at all way stop, traffic signal, and roundabout <br />controlled intersections and across an uncontrolled approach of intersections that meet <br />the criteria as outlined above. <br />The City of Roseville standard crosswalk marking is the "continental crosswalk" marking <br />as shown in Figure 1 below. <br />�T 3' Typ. <br />3 Typ. - <br />Figure i Gosswolk Mocking Dimensions <br />b. Decorative Crosswalks <br />The use of decorative materials bythemselves does not designate a crosswalk. <br />Crosswalks are legally designated at intersections and no markings are needed. At mid - <br />block crossings, retroreflective markings must be used for designation as a crosswalk. <br />Retroreflective markings can be used in combination wth other decorative crosswalk <br />treatments. <br />c. Stop Lines <br />Stop lines should be considered on multi -lane roadways in advance of mid -block <br />crosswalks and crosswalks at intersections at locations wth geometric conditions where <br />a stop barwould help reinforce the appropriate stopping location fora yielding vehicle <br />2. Traffic Signing <br />Traffic signing shall be in accordance wth the MN MUTCD. All crosswalks must be <br />signed with a W11-2 or S1-1 sign (see the Mn MUTCD for examples) along with the <br />required supplemental and advanced signage. <br />
