He wants the property
rezoned because at present the use of the property does not conform
with the property as zoned. When the problem was presented to the
Council, they attempted to secure the signatures of the property
owners. He would have been at the zoning meeting if' he had known it
was being hel~ He presented a drawing showing the north 1800 ft.
zoned as industrial property and the last 50S ft. is what they want
rezoned to industrial.

It was brought up there are plans that have been filed for the
widening of Eustis Avemue which would encroach on the property.

Mr. Clyde Mass claimed that the zoning had been violated and objected
to having definite violators as neighbors.

Ed. He pointed out there are no signatures on
the petition for the property owners within 250 ft. He wants Paper
Calmenson to stay within their area md not zone the property so
close to his property. As a tax payer, he would sooner pay more
taxes to keep the area zoned as it is now and keep industry out of
his back door.

Mr. Clyde Mass owns lots 1, 2 and 3, had a buyer in mind who changed
his mind about buying when he discovered the industrial building
'Was there.

Balzart objects because the garage at the end of Sather St. is
operating during night hours.

Mr. Schleh appeared before the board for the Zoning Board and claimed
it was one sided representation and did sway the decision of the
boarde

Membrez moved, seconded by Hammersten, that the hearing! be continued,
Mr. Carley to draw up a sketch showing the section and the new highway
coming into the property, and the building of Paper Calmenson Co.
Report is to be brought before the Zoning Board Monday, November 16,

408

Paper CalmensQn
Rezoning.
