43 WHEREAS, during his tenure, Chief Mathwig made substantial changes in policies and <br />44 procedures to make the Roseville Police Department more transparent and accountable to the <br />45 community and those who come into contact with his police officers while ensuring the safety <br />46 and well-being of the communityand its police officers ; and <br />47 <br />48 WHEREAS, Chief Mathwig’s focus on these issues has made the Roseville Police Department a <br />st <br />49 model for 21Century policing and leader within the state regarding equity and policing. <br />50 <br />51 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; the Roseville City Council commends Chief Rick <br />52 Mathwig for his dedicated service to the community for the past 30 years and wishes him all the <br />53 best in retirement. <br />54 <br />55 <br />56 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member , <br />57 and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:, , , <br />58 , and Mayor . <br />59 and the following voted against the same: . <br />60 <br />61 WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />62 <br /> <br />
