Term: All licensesissued under this Chapter are effective upon issuance andshall expire <br />88 one year (365 days) from date of issuance.All required renewal license application <br />89 materials shall be received and submitted prior to the expiration date. <br />90 B. Late fee: Any renewal licenseapplicationssubmittedafter expiration will be considered late <br />91 and subjectto fee penalties. <br />92 C. Violation: Any licensenot renewed afterexpiration, with continued short-term renting of the <br />93 property, will be considered a violation of this ordination. Renters will not be allowed to <br />94 occupy a property if the renewal licenseis not issuedwithin 5days after expiration. <br />95 <br />96 909.05: FEES, LODGING TAX: <br />97 <br />98 A.There shall be a licensefee and late renewal feeas established by the City Fee Schedule <br />99 in Section 314.05. All fees and fines shall be charged to and payable by the property <br />100 owner. <br />101 B.Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 297A.61Subd. 3(g)(2), State and local taxes are <br />102 due on lodging less than 30 daysunless exempted under 297A.67, subd. 23. Local <br />103 lodging tax is required for leasesis in excess of thirty days and to the same guest(City <br />104 Code Section 312.02). <br />105 C.Short-Term Rentalsin violation of this ordinance may be subject to administrative fines, <br />106 in addition to any other fees or penalties per Section 909.10or other applicable sections <br />107 of City Code. <br />108 <br />109 909.06: MANNER OF REGISTRATION: <br />110 <br />111 A.An owner who has an existing Short-Term Rental property as defined by this Chapter that <br />112 is not already licensedunder the requirements of City Code Chapter 909, must apply for <br />113 licensurepursuant to thisChapter, no later than 30days following the effective date of <br />114 this Chapter. <br />115 B.An owner of aproperty that after the effective date of this Chapter wishes to convert the <br />116 property into a Short-Term Rentalproperty, shall apply for and licensethe property prior <br />117 to its conversion. <br />118 C.If there is a change in the type of occupancy from the type stated on the licenseform, an <br />119 amendedlicenseform shall be filed within 30 days of the change. <br />120 D.When a previously licensedproperty is sold, the new owner, if continuing to offer Short- <br />121 Term Rental, shall apply for a licensewithin 30 days of the sale. <br />122 <br />123 909.07 NOTICE TO RENTER,REQUIREMENT TO POST: <br />124 <br />125 A.The owner or its agent must post, in accordance with the instructions provided by the <br />126 City, in each Short-Term Rental unit a current copy of the Short-term Rental License <br />127 provided by the City upon issuance of license.
