Licensing of Short-Term Rentals. A new Chapter 909 is inserted into City Code <br />10 that outlines the following requirements for the licensing of Short-Term Rentals. <br />11 <br />12 LICENSING OF SHORT-TERM RENTALS <br />13 <br />14 SECTION: <br />15 909.01: Purpose <br />16 909.02: Definitions <br />17 909.03: License Required <br />18 909.04: Expiration of License <br />19 909.05: Fees, Lodging tax <br />20 909.06: Manner of Licensure <br />21 909.07: Notice to Guest(s), Requirement to Post <br />22 909.08: Exemptions <br />23 909.09: License Suspensions and Revocation <br />24 909.10: Violation <br />25 909.11: Appeals <br />26 909.12: Maintenance of Records <br />27 909.13: Authority <br />28 909.14: Applicable Laws <br />29 909.15: Rules, Policies and Procedures <br />30 909.16: No Warranty by the City <br />31 909.17: Severability <br />32 <br />33 909.01: PURPOSE: <br />34 <br />35 The purpose of this Section is to ensure that the non-owner-occupied short-term rentals of dwelling <br />36 units is conducted, operated, and maintained so as not to become a nuisance to the surrounding <br />37 neighborhood or an influence that fosters blight and deterioration orcreates a disincentive to <br />38 reinvest in the community.
