ATTACHMENT B <br />44 and enforce this Chapter. <br />45 B.Family: Shall mean one of the following: (City Code Section 1001.10) <br />46 1.Any group of people living together as a single housekeeping unit, all of whom are <br />47 related by blood, marriage, or adoption plus children who are under foster care; or <br />48 2.Up to four people not so related; or <br />49 3.Any group of people, if no more than two adult members function as the heads of <br />50 the household group and the remaining members are dependent upon them for care <br />51 and direction due to age, physical disability, a mental incompetency, or for other <br />52 reasons; or <br />53 4.Any individual, who is the owner, livingand maintaining a common household and <br />54 using a common cooking and kitchen facility. <br />55 C.Local Agent: Owner’s representative who resides in any of the following Minnesota <br />56 counties: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, or Washington, and is <br />57 authorized by the owner to make or order repairs or services for the property if in violation <br />58 of the City or State Codes. <br />59 D.Owner: A person, agent, firm, or corporation having a legal or equitable interest in the <br />60 property. In any corporation or partnership, the term owner includes general partners and <br />61 corporate officers. <br />62 E.Person: Includes individual, as well as, business entities, whether one or more. <br />63 F.Rent: Includes money or services in exchange for occupation of the unit. <br />64 G.Short-Term Rental: A non-owner-occupied dwelling unit rented for a period of thirty (30) <br />65 consecutive daysor less. Rentals for seven (7) consecutive days or less are prohibited <br />stst <br />66 between October 1 and May 1 and rentals for ten (10) consecutive days or less are <br />stst <br />67 prohibited between May 1 and October 1. The use of recreational vehicles, campers or <br />68 other similar vehicles as rentals shall be prohibited. Short-term rental periods from eight <br />69 (8)to thirty (30) consecutive days require a license under this Chapter. <br />70 H.Unit: All or a portion of a residential property that is arranged, designed, used, or intended <br />71 to be used as separate living quarters and which is leased to an individual or group. <br />72 <br />73 909.03: LICENSE REQUIRED: <br />74 <br />75 A.It shall be unlawful for any person to hereafter occupy, allow to be occupied, or let to <br />76 another person for occupancy any residential property within the City for which an <br />77 application for a short-term rental licensehas not been properly made and filed with the <br />78 City or after the time that a license is suspended or revoked. Applications for licensure <br />79 shall be as required by Chapter 301 of City Code, and shall be made upon forms <br />80 furnished by the City for such purpose and shall specifically require the following <br />81 minimum information: <br />82 1.Name, street address, email and phone number of the property owner. <br />83 2.The name, street address, email and phone number(s), of a local agent authorized <br />84 to make or order repairs or services for the property, if in violation of City or State <br />85 Codes, if the person is different than the owner. <br />86 3.The street address of the short-term rental property. <br />87 4.The type of units within the rental property (single family, twin-home, townhome, <br />88 condo, duplex, triplex or fourplex). <br />89 5.The number of bedrooms in the unit. <br />Underline reflects new language <br /> <br />
