Attachments A and B <br />RESOLUTION NO. _______ <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />st <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 31 day ofJanuary, 2022, at <br />6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Willmus, Strahan, Groff, Etten, and Roe; and the <br />following members were absent: None. <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION TO EXTEND PERIOD OF LOCAL EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute § 12.29, subd. 1 allows the governing body of a local <br />government to extend the period of a local emergency declared pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statute § 12.29, subd. 1. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of Roseville has found that the following emergency situation exists: <br /> World Health Organization has declared a novel coronavirus-COVID-19 as a Pandemic. <br /> Cases of the COVID-19 continue to increase at a rapid rate, due to variant strains <br />including the Omicron variant, stressing the local healthcare system and threatening the <br />health, safety, and welfare of the general public. <br /> There is an emergent need to expand our local response to the growing needs of the <br />community we serve. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 31, 2022 the Mayor has declared that the situation constitutes a local <br />emergency; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council agrees with the Mayor’s findings and further finds that the local <br />emergency will last for more than three days; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that: <br /> <br />1) The local emergency is recognized as continuing until _______,2022. <br /> <br />2) This declaration of a local emergency will invoke the City’s Emergency Management Plan. <br />The portions that are necessary for response to and recovery from the emergency must beused, <br />including but not limited to the issuance of emergency regulations by way of further resolution <br />and order. <br /> <br />
