Regular City Council Meeting
Monday, June 21, 2021
Page 11
Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission both meet the first week in
August and he felt strongly that there is enough time both to prepare the plan infor
mation and review it adequately and meet public notification requirements for the
early August meetings.
Ms. Gundlach indicated if the Council is inclined to table to a date specific, she
suggested the date of August 4th for the Planning Commission meeting and if it is
not ready by then, this would be brought back to the City Council for denial.
Councilmember Willmus asked if the maker of the motion would be acceptable to
amending the motion to table to a date certain of August 4th.
Councilmember Etten agreed.
Councilmember Willmus seconded the motion to table.
City Attorney Gaughan indicated if August 4th were the Planning Commission
meeting, he would suggest this item be tabled to a City Council meeting in August
because the Council is tabling their own consideration.
Mayor Roe thought it made sense for flexibility to table to August 31st to allow the
Council to choose which meeting in August to hear this depending on how the
agendas come forward.
Councilmember Etten explained the Council has two meetings in August, August 9th, and August 23rd , so thinking about the proposal from the seconder, August 23rd
would be their last meeting. He would maybe revise the revision to August 23rd .
Councilmember Willmus accepted the revision.
Restated motion as amended:
Etten moved, Willmus seconded, tabling this item until August 23, 2021, to allow
for a revised plat to be reviewed by staff and brought to the Planning Commission
for their review and public hearing and also to the Parks and Recreation Commis
sion, as needed.
Roll Call
Ayes: Willmus, Etten, and Roe.
Nays: Strahan, Groff
d.Consider a Request to Perform an Abatement for Unresolved Violations of
City Code at 939 County Road B2 West W.
Building Official Dave Englund summarized the request as detailed in the Request
for Council Action and related attachments dated June 21, 2021.
