Regular City Council Meeting
Monday, June 21, 2021
Page 14
Mayor Roe asked for clarification on platting or lot splits and the increase in units,
noting the language in the ordinance does not mention the increase in the number
of units. He wanted to make sure they are all clear that it is not part of the Ordi
nance, it is strictly based on any kind of lot split or plat as outlined in the language
of the Ordinance.
Mr. Johnson agreed.
Public Comment
Mayor Roe offered an opportunity for public comment with no one indicting a de
sire to speak.
Willmus moved, Etten seconded, enactment of Ordinance No. 1601, "An Ordi
nance Amending Subdivision Code 1103.06: Park Dedication."
Council Discussion
Councilmember Willmus thought Councilmember Groff did a good job highlight
ing the work that has been done and outreach to other communities to see where
Roseville can perhaps better position itself. He thought, as a city, they have done
a good job of highlighting and expressing what the needs are, what is required to
maintain the system going forward, and he certainly saw this as a direct piece re
lated to that.
Councilmember Etten concurred with his fellow Councilmembers and indicated
this discussion has gone back years to when he was on the Parks and Recreation
Commission, and he appreciated that staff and others have worked to make this a
reality. He thought it would help Roseville, as final developments come in, to make
sure they are developing the City's park system to match the increased needs.
Roll Call
Ayes: Strahan, Groff, Willmus, Etten, and Roe.
Nays: None
Willmus moved, Etten seconded, approving the publication of the Ordinance Sum
mary.
Roll Call (Super Majority Required)
Ayes: Strahan, Groff, Willmus, Etten, and Roe.
Nays: None
h.Discuss 2021-2022 Policy Priority PlanCity Manager Patrick Trudgeon briefly highlighted this item as detailed in the Re
quest for Council Action and related attachments dated June 21, 2021.
