Roll call Ayes-(5) <br />Nayes...( 0). <br /> <br />The matter of an opening on the Health Board was discussed. Village <br />Attorney said an officer of the Village should be a resident of the <br />Village. Should find somebody who would be 'Willing to serve. <br /> <br />Clerk said there were six applications for Building Inspector. Council <br />decided to study each application to make a proper decision at a <br />special meeting. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded, Council act as a committee as a <br />whole to study the applications for Building Inspector. Roll call <br />Ayes...(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The question of the Library lease was brought up but the matter had <br />not been taken up with the Livrary Board as yet due to the illness of <br />Mrs. Wallgren. <br /> <br />Olson moved we give Manager Maurice Hawes of the liquor store sixty <br />days notice. <br /> <br />Carlson stated the Manager is not living in the Village of Roseville <br />There was much discussion. <br /> <br />Salverda moved, Olson seconded, that we relieve the duties of the <br />present manager of the Liquor Store effective February 1, 1954. <br />Roll call Ayes...(4) Nayes-(l) Hammersten "No". <br /> <br />It was discussed appointing Mike Walsh as Manager. It was agreed to <br />handle the matter at the special meeting and have all the help from <br />the liquor stores present. <br /> <br />The question of which member of the Council should handle the Liquor <br />Stores business was brought up. Karon read the Ordinance #114 which <br />covered the matter. It was agreed to keep it under the control of <br />the Clerk as is now covered by the Ordinance. <br /> <br />The Village Engineer recommended the acceptance of the J~genson Plat <br />with the usual restrictions as to setbacks. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Willmus seconded, we concur in the Village Engineer's <br />recommendations providing the usual 30 ft. setbacks on the corner lots <br />be followed.
