<br />Page 3.. <br /> <br />Carley reported that on investigation as to how much black dirt was <br />removed from Dunlap St. it was estimated about 129 cu. yds. of material <br />were removed within the right of way. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Olson seconded, the report be received and put on file. <br />Roll call AyesM(5) Nqes....( 0) <br /> <br />Mr. Krannak appeared before the board and claimed he did not know that <br />one inch was removed at the time they were digging. He told employes <br />of the contractor doing the work not to take one inch off the property <br />that did not belong to him, and they claimed ,they would not. If he <br />did anything that was not right, he will correct it any way the Council <br />wants him to do it. Krannak got 60¢ a yd. for all black dirt taken out. <br /> <br />Hammersten stated that the individual making charges about Dunlap St. <br />had removed black dirt from top of Roma after the plat had been acceptede <br /> <br />There was much discussion. <br /> <br />Willmus moved, Hammersten seconded, we lay this matter over until a <br />future date. Roll call Ayes....( 5 } Nayes...( 0 ). <br /> <br />Mr. Krannak brought up the question of a cocktail bar in his new <br />shopping center in connection with a restaurant. Asked the Council <br />to give it consideration now. <br /> <br />4 4~O <br /> <br />Dunlap St. <br />Black Dirt <br /> <br />Cocktail Bar - <br />Krannak <br /> <br />Mr. Krannak met with the Chamber of Commerce of St. Paul and they want to Industrial <br />know if we would make up a map to show the industrial districts we Districts <br />expect to have in the Village. <br /> <br />Mr. Carley said he had done considerable work on the industrial district <br />matter already. <br /> <br />Willmus suggested the Council should meet to discuss and talk over the <br />matter of industries in the Village. <br /> <br />Salverda moved we make a resolution that all employes working for the <br />Village of Roseville should reside therein only except when it is not <br />possible to replace employes who do live outside the Village. <br /> <br />There was måch discussion. <br /> <br />There was no second so the motion was lost. The matter was to be <br />discussed at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Employ Residents <br />of the Village <br /> <br />The question was brought up as to whether the commissioner of Registration Commissioner <br />is paid the s~ne amount for each year. The Clerk read the minutes in of Resistration <br />regard to resolution drawn up in regard to the Commissioner of <br />Registration. The resolution states that the Village Clerk should be <br />the Commissioner of Registration and may receive such additional salary <br />as should be received by the Commissioner of Registration. <br /> <br />The Mayor asked if he could take over the responsibility of making all <br />the appointments. <br /> <br />Hammersten said in the past the Mayors have made the appointments and <br />the Council has concured wi th them. <br /> <br />Mayor make <br />Appointments <br />
