It <br />6 should be noted some of the 2021 HRIECwork overlapped with the approved Strategic Racial Equity <br />7 Action Plan (SREAP)priorities driven by staff.The commission did hold a special meeting in June <br />8 2021 to get all commissioners aligned on 2021 work plan items and future priorities. <br />9 <br />10 2021-22 Chair was Etienne Djevi and Vice Chair was Kathy Macomber (previously Grace Lee) <br />11 2022-23 Chair is Laura Palmquist and Vice Chair is Richard James <br />12 <br />13 2021- M ARCH 2022 IN R EVIEW: <br />14 <br />W ORK P LAN P RIORITY C URRENT/Y EAR-E ND S TATUS <br />E SSAY C ONTEST Two essay contest entries were received and both <br />participants awarded and offered an opportunity <br />to be recognized by council <br />Topic: Following the pandemic, how can you and <br />your fellow students become moreinvolved in <br />helping to improve, reconnect, and unite the <br />Roseville community? <br />R OSEFEST P ARADE E NGAGEMENT The commission has two parade unit spots on <br />hold and is conducting outreach to get <br />participation from a BIPOC community, current <br />direction is American Indian <br />C OMMUNITY F EEDBACK R ESPONSE Commission has identified a standard process to <br />respond to concerns and feedback from <br />community members including a response as <br />needed from staff in partnership with Chair/Vice <br />Chair; commission will briefly addressconcern <br />and response in public meeting; citywide <br />community feedback is primarily managed by <br />staff <br />C OMMISSION R ECRUITMENT Commission recruitment work primarily shifted <br /> <br />
