Commissioner Lenhart shared that she could see equity as a broad overarching potential goal. In <br />addition she sees three goal areas: <br /> Natural resources <br />Equity and engagement/visioning/planning <br /> Getting people and kids outdoors <br /> <br />The following goals were updated and added by the Parks and Recreation Commission for review at <br />the April Commission meeting: <br />2022 DRAFT Parks & Recreation Commission Goals <br />GoalTimeframeAction StepsAssignedProgress <br />1. On-going Parks and Recreation Goals <br />Short Term Goal: Place special emphasis on equity to reach <br />Find ways to be visible in the community and understand the needs and barriers of underserved <br />#1.a <br />utilizing an "equity lens"communities in Roseville. <br /> <br />Long Term Goal: Track progress via equity analysis. <br />Understand resident's experiences with Short Term Goal: Review data and demographics, create <br />their local parks. Work to find the voice subcommittee, Check with the Human Rights Inclusion and <br />#1.b <br />of underrepresented or unheard people or Engagement Commission on potential collaboration <br /> <br />groups. Foster a sense of belonging.Long Term Goal: <br />Short Term Goal: Research non-traditional sports <br />Continue to support and advise Parks & <br />opportunities. <br /> <br />#1.cRecreation staff on already identified <br />Long Term Goal: Bring new ideas, projects or opportunities <br />projects and potential opportunities. <br />to the Commission for discussion and education. <br />2.
