Bronson, County Engineer <br />in regard t:> the oiling of t he streets in Roseville" saying they <br />were not able to promise definite dates. F1ilner Carley, Village <br />Engineer presented a lett.er to the Council which the clerk read. It <br />was suggested that oiling the streets should not be contracted but "be <br />done with public owned property. <br /> <br />Carley suggests that if the Village of Roseville o~vn and operate <br />their own distributer, ~fe T;uuld be able to handle that ~iork using <br />our present force and therefore, our annual labor expense would <br />not be increased. <br /> <br />Carley stated that the cost of t his oiler would cost approximately <br />$5000.00 plus a truck. There was some discussion of using a fire <br />truck and replacing that truck vJÌth a new one. The Council <br />suggested that Car1ey be authorized to make up specifications. <br /> <br />Olson moved, seconded by Carlson that Carley be authorized to make <br />up specifications. Roll Call Ayes-(4) Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Clerk read letter from Earl Des Lauriers regarding insurance on <br />trucks. Olson suggested that someone in the Village have the <br />opportunity to have the insurance business. It was suggested that <br />this be held over until the next meeting. <br /> <br />Hilner Carley presented his report regarding Equipment Rental Rates <br />to the Council. He recommended that ithe VilJa ge Council ætablish <br />the following rates for Vil13. ge owned equipment: <br /> <br />4-Ton F~v.D. Truck <br />2-Ton Ford Truck <br />Tractor Loader <br />Power Road ~atrol <br /> <br />$4.00 <br />2.40 <br />6.00 <br />4.00 <br /> <br />per hour <br />II " <br /> <br />II II <br />It It <br /> <br />The above rates do not include operators. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, seconded by Hammersten that we concur in recommen~tion <br />of Village Engineer that all purchases for road department and <br />supplies go through his office so that the engineering department <br />can have some control over it and keep within the budget limitations <br />and approve all bills against r'oad fund before being passed for <br />payment. Roll Call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Milner Carley presented Council with Plat of Fernwood Terrace #5, <br />which had been referred to himifor recommendation. <br /> <br />The ~amer of this plat agreed to dedicate a drainage easement <br />through block 11 to carry water from a low spot on Herrill Street- <br />This easement is to .be shown on the final plats. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by' Olson to accepG plat of Fernwood <br />Terrace #5.
