<br />2nd Page <br /> <br />Ed. Salverda reported that there is a man named Stan Sayer who 'VIaS <br />a former inspector and who has taken upon himself without any <br />authority what-so-ever to inspect electrical jobs,and on these jobs <br />he keeps all the fees he collects for himself. He had at least <br />one job in uhich he collected ~ÞIl.5.00 in advance. He also collected <br />from other jobs. <br /> <br />Ed Salverda would like to kno~r if -mere is any way he can get this <br />money back~ However, this man is not operating in the Village at <br />the present tine. Salverda said this case had come up before and <br />that Hammersten had all the letters on file. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Hammersten seconded that Salverda consult with <br />Loftsgaarden the Village Attorney on the case since it has been <br />on our hands for some time. Roll Call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />B.J. Loftsgaarden brought up the appealinG of the case of the <br />trailer camp. <br /> <br />He thought we had a reasonable chance of the case being reversed, <br />by amending the findings so that it does not effect the ordinance. <br />He stated that l'Ir. Howard is definitely expanding when putting in <br />improvements. Mr. Loftsgaarden has l'ead the record that had <br />been taken at the trial and had talked with 11r. Karon, the former <br />attorney so he is familiar ,vi th the case. <br /> <br />Clerk read applications for general construction licenses: <br /> <br />1. Squires & Borden <br />2. Paul Durgin <br />3. Wm. Reiling <br /> <br />675 Heinel Drive <br />1752 Carl St. <br />505 Como Ave. <br /> <br />Olson moved" Hammersten seconded that applications for Borden & <br />Squires, Paul Durgin be approved, but to hold Wm. Reiling's till <br />further study. Roll Call Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Clerk read application for plasterer's lic-ense for Alfred H. <br />Philipson. <br /> <br />Olson moved, seconded by: Jlammersten that the license be granted. <br />Roll Cal~ Ayes-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Clerk read letter from the Ì'laster Plumbing Association recommending <br />that ìiTe send our plumber to a meeting. The theme of the meeting <br />vlÌll be "Improvement &. enforcement of plmnbing codes for better <br />health". <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Olson seconded that we send our plumbing inspector <br />to the convention with expenses paid. Roll Call Aves-(4) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk read several letters relating to the dog ordinance from <br />Roseville residents. It had been understood thatthsre has been a <br />6 man comittee to look into this situation. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Harnmersten seconded that the letters be put on file <br />for our records.
