<br />Page 3 <br /> <br />The Clerk read a note from the po.lice department suggesting a light at the <br />intersection of Dellwood and T.H. 36 as there are a lot af activities at <br />the school in 1he evening and a light would help. The Highway Department <br />had been contacted by the Clerk, and Mr. Bill Klett said the placing of <br />lights at intersections within a Village was not their responsibility. <br />The Clerk suggested it be referred to Carley with power to act along <br />with the previous request for lights on Ruggles. <br /> <br />The possibility of opening up County Road B2 West from Lexington Ave. was <br />discussed. The owner of some abutting property is willing to give an ease- <br />ment but expects to get paid for it. Carley will bring in a report on <br />his survey of the road. <br /> <br />The Clerk read two letters from the Plat Commission regarding our position <br />on a parcel of land which is a part of NWi: of NEi- Sec. 14 and some t hat is <br />in the wi- of Sec. 13. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Willmus that they be referred to Carley for <br />checking. Roll Call Ayes-(5) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Knollwood Motors complaining about all the <br />dogs that chase their school bus each morning in the vicinity of Lydia <br />and 1"air-view for a distance of one half mile. The Mayor suggested we make <br />a special effort in that area and pick up the dogs. Loftsgaarden <br />suggested that the owner of Knollwood Motors file a complaint against <br />the owner of the dog . -. and by prosecuting him the news will get around <br />and it would help solve the problem. Hr. Van Harwood who was a member of <br />the committee on the dog ordinance said all the members of the committee <br />agreed the ordinance was good but needed to be enforce~. <br /> <br />The Clerk read applications from the following contractors¡ <br /> <br />General Contractors: <br />Victor Hansen, 1498 Furness St. <br /> <br />Plumbing: <br />L.G. Roll Call Ayes-(5) <br />Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Loftsgaarden reported on me new law for the assessing of street benefits <br />grading, drainage requirements, hearing and notices. <br /> <br />Hammersten reported on the letters the Veterans Administration and 1"ederal <br />Housing authorities request from time to time on plats and street grades etc., <br />and t hat the two agencies be notified that we will not authorize the <br />signing of any more letters ontthe above matters. <br /> <br />Mr. Wm.
