<br />2nd Page <br /> <br />The Clerk read the report from the Engineer on the bids that had been <br />received on the Oiler. The lowest bidder meeting our specifications <br />was the Rufferidge-Johnson at a price of $4230.50. <br /> <br />Willmus moved, seconded by Olson that the bid be awarded to the above <br />named low bidder. Roll Call Ayes-(4) Nayes-Cl) Salverda. <br /> <br />Hammersten read a communication from the Village Engineer regarding <br />future gravel needs of the Village for road purposes as there is a <br />stock pile of 30,000 yards close by. <br /> <br />VJi1111~U8 moved, seconded bJr Olson t hat we find out more about it and <br />contact the owner as to price of same. Roll Call Ayes-(S) Nayes-(O). <br /> <br />Clerk read a letter from Carley regarding the new building code and <br />suggested two or three meetings by the Council sitting as a committee <br />of the whole as soon as possible to go over the code before its <br />adoption so the Council can acquaint themselves with the changes. <br />Host any night would be agreeable to the Engineer. Thursday Evening, <br />May 13th at 7:00 O'Clock was agreed on. <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Engineer regarding a truck for the <br />Oil Distributer. <br /> <br />Willmus moved, seconded by Carlson that we advertise for bids on <br />a truck chassis to be opened on May 25th,2::00 l'M.Roll Call Ayes-(5) <br /> <br />Nayes-( 0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter regarding the hours worked by the Road Maintenance <br />Crew suggesting that the hours be cut to 40 hours per week effective at <br />once. <br /> <br />Olson moved, seconded by Carlson that the road crew be put on the 40 hour <br />per week basis. Roll Call ~s-(S) Nayes-(O). . <br /> <br />Parnmersten read the letter regarding specifications for the roads on the <br />proposed Indianhead Truck Lines Property. The specifications call for <br />the work to be done under the supervision of the Village Engineer. <br /> <br />Olson moved, seconded by Harnmersten that the matter be laid over for further <br />information. Roll Call Ayes-(5) Nayes-CO). <br /> <br />The continued hearing on the Guligmfski rezoning petition was declared <br />open.
