Consideration of an Interim Use Renewal Pursuant to §1009.03 of the City Code to <br />Permit Seasonal Household Hazardous Waste Collection at Ramsey County Property at <br />1725 Kent Street (PF22-003) <br />Chair Kimble opened the public hearing for PF22-003 at approximately 6:35 p.m. and <br />reported on the purpose and process of a public hearing. <br />City Planner Paschke summarized the request as detailed in the staff report dated May 4, <br />2022. <br />Commissioner McGehee asked who on the staff has the responsibility to inspect this. <br />Mr. Paschke was not sure if this ever was inspected. It is possible that in the earlier days, <br />perhaps Don Munson the previous building official or others in his staff may have gone out <br />and looked at it. He indicated he has gone out to the site two or three times in the early <br />2000’s but since then have not gone out and inspected because there really was not a reason <br />to do that without having complaints or issues and concerns. <br />Mr. John Springman, Ramsey County Public Environmental Health, 2785 White Bear <br />Avenue North, Maplewood, was at the meeting and addressed the Commission. <br />Public Comment <br />No one came forward to speak for or against this request. <br />Chair Kimble closed the public hearing at 6:45 p.m. <br />Commission Deliberation <br />None. <br />MOTION <br />Member Schaffhausen moved, seconded by Member McGehee, to recommend to the <br />City Council approval of the Interim Use for Ramsey County to Continue Operating a <br />Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility Located at 1725 Kent Street Based on <br />the Information Contained in this Report and removal of the Condition that the City of <br />Roseville will do any Site Inspection for the month it is in Operation. (PF22-003). <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />
