RCA Attachment D
Bryan Lloyd
From:
Sent:Thursday, July 21, 2022 8:14 PM
To:Bryan Lloyd
Subject:Re: Supplemental Comments
Attachments:
Supplemental from Cassel re. Brama Vistas Replat Project.pdf
Caution: This email originated outside our organization; please use caution.
HI Bryan,
attached are supplemental notes that I will be bringing to the Council meeting.
Have you already sent citizen input to the council members?
Can you send the above or should I contact members directly myself?
I was told that Planning staff have been positive about this plan.
Even that the plan was in the works before last year's 2040 plan change to allow for this kind of 'missing middle' housing
in LDR1
and that Tom Brama had a hand in the creation of this opportunity.
I don't know if this is true or not. I don't know when Brama bought the properties.
the fact of the matter is that this project is not in keeping with the character of the neighborhood, risks further degradation
of a beautiful block, will destroy the existing shade canopy which could promote heating and cooling energy savings if the
buildings were sited without the 100% tree removal on the back half of the lots, and seems to serve the interests ONLY of
the developer.
Why can't those parcels I circled in the map be downzoned for this kind of housing? We CERTAINLY DON'T NEED ANY
MORE DENSE DEVELOPMENT IN THIS CORNER OF THE CITY. What is being developed west of Byerly's on County
Rd. C?

Could you or someone else in Planning give me a phone call on Friday.
?

The more I study this project in this corner of the city the more upset I get.

Mike

1
