RCA Attachment D
The meeting packet for last night mentioned the involvement a Development Review Committee, which is comprised of
staff from all the City Departments, reviews the proposal and prepares comments for a staff report that is submitted to
the Planning Commission.
I didn't see any involvement from the Roseville Urban Forester on the DRC , nor have I had the sense
that anyone, from any department, has actually seen the site first-hand to comment on Mr. Brama's
concept. Last night was the first I've heard about saving some trees.

Would any of you be willing to come out to meet with Carol & myself to see firsthand why we are dismayed about this
proposal on this block of this corner of the city that currently has 140+ missing middle units, ~170 single family detached
units, and soon to be, 3x the number of multi-family apartments and condos than single family hdistomes. District 1 is
doing way more than its share of addressing 2040 increased density goals. The one size fits all zoning wrinkle that allows
a bunch of twinhomes on a pair of formerly single lots needs to be reconsidered. Each of Roseville's districts should be
bearing weight for Roseville's future housing goals.

I would like to participate in whatever form the impending study takes. My personal position: place a moratorium on this
kind of currently allowed infill housing until the City can differentially designate suitable district neighborhoods. I am
retired and at your service and wish that you be at ours in this regard. There is a lot I don't understand about Roseville's
development process...like this triangle

Please take the necessary time to understand and respond to the concerns raised in the 4pg handout I gave you last
night. Wayne was the only Council member to acknowledge having received last Friday's Supplemental Notes. We
are NOT address numbers on a zoning atlas. We deserve more than 3' of your time in a Council meeting. I do not want
to be told

Forget it Mike, it's Chinatown If you don't understand this quote you didn't read what I gave
you last night.

Sincerely,

Mike Cassel
3002 Troseth Rd.
Roseville, MN 55113

3
