Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission Agenda Item Date: September 27, 2022 Item Description: Communication Items Item No: 4 Public Works Project updates: • 2022 Sewer Lining o The contract was awarded to Hydro-Klean on December 6, 2021. The project consists of lining 5.6 miles of pipe within the city. Work has begun with about 75% of the work completed within Roseville. Work is anticipated to be completed by the Fall of 2022. 2022 Pavement Management Project o The project was awarded to Bituminous Roadways on April 11. o Work consists of mill and overlaying 9.4 miles of roadways, installation of a new pathway on Lexington Avenue, north of Woodhill Drive, replacement of retaining wall at County Road C2 and Merrill Avenue and other miscellaneous work. o Work is underway and will continue throughout the fall. Milling and paving is underway and approximately 90% of the street work is completed. Burke Avenue will be paved on Friday September 23 and County Road C2 will be paved on September 26. o Simpson Street storm sewer and paving will take place in October to finish the project. Villa Storm Water Improvements o The project was awarded to Kevitt Companies. o Work consists of dredging the upper basin in Villa Park and replacing the inlet and the outlet to the basin. Most work will occur over the winter months. Trapping of turtles to relocate them further downstream began in early August. Fairview and County Road C Pond Improvements o The project was awarded to New Look Construction on June 6. o Work consists of pond dredging and outfall replacement at the Fairview and County Road C pond. o Work is expected to begin on October 3. Work should take approximately 3-4 weeks. There should be minimal impacts to the public. Ramsey County Updates: • County Road B2/Lexington Intersection Improvements o All major work is completed • Ramsey County Mill and Overlays & ADA Upgrades o Work in Roseville is on three County Roads. • Rice Street, County Road B2 to I-694 • County Road B, Dale Street to Rice Street • Lexington Avenue, TH 36 - County Road C2 ADA upgrades have begun on Rice Street and will continue for the next week. • Work is ongoing on all streets and is anticipated to last into mid -October. Traffic impacts should be limited to lane shifts. Paving is expected to take place in late October and November.
